Taglory 2 Pack Reflective Breakaway Cat Collar with Bell, Orange

I bought these collars for my 4 year old Tiger cat. For 2 reasons. 1. He likes to only go outside when I am on the patio. I need to hear when he goes beyond the patio boundary. 2 He likes to do “sneak” random “ninja” attacks when he is displeased with something I did or did not do. Now I can hear the little bugger coming. And see his collar in the dark. No more surprise back of the calf attacks in the dark. They are easy to open (just pull apart). And close (snap together). And they slide easily to adjust size! My fur boy thinks he is the Cat’s Meow, with his new styling collar. He even posed for his picture in it. What a “ham” he is! Definitely BUY these collars! You won’t be let down. Easy on (for cats that don’t like to be fussed with). And easy off for you to be able to adjust them as needed. I didn’t get bit or scratched once. That is my boys “love language”, unfortunately. LOL!

I chose these collars for my kittens in the small size because they were small enough to wear, they had reflection on them, and they came in orange (as recommended for indoor cats by the kitty convict project). I made them as small as possible to start, now they're adjusted to the largest size. They wore them from ~14 weeks of age until they outgrew them this week, a little over 3 months on kittens that constantly throw around and bite each other when they play. They're rough on each other and their things, they tear toys apart. * The orange faded, but I didn't notice until I got new ones in the larger size. * The reflective portion wore down a bit, but is still reflective. * The reflection is great. It helped us find kittens hiding in the dark a few times using phone flashlights. * The nylon is fuzzy along the edges where it's been chewed on. In one spot it's frayed, but I don't think the integrity has been harmed at all. * The collars open by pulling them apart, you don't have to fiddle with any latches. * The collars never came off unless I took them off. * They were pretty easy to enlarge without removing them most of the time. * The bells were really easy to remove. I don't know why collars always come with bells, that can't be good for the cats' hearing. * The D ring seems solid, but I didn't use it. There's no rust on it despite one cat constantly ending up wet from not paying attention to where he's jumping. * Both of my sets have the rounded ears on the clasp, which I really appreciate. We'll see how this new set holds up.

Pretty, reflective, and SAFE for my cat! He loves trying to run out the front door the second someone opens it, so I wanted to make sure he's visible from the street in case he does escape. The bright color and reflective details do a great job of that, although the paw prints have faded/chipped away over the two months he's worn this. The breakaway feature is literally a lifesaver. My cat loves laying on the warm vents in the floor, and his tag gets stuck between the grates sometimes. I've found the collar laying on the floor multiple times so this definitely comes apart with some force. I'm not sure about how comfortable this is since he scratches at his neck more often, but it does keep him safe so he'll continue to wear this.

Other than my cat is stupid & constantly looses his collar this is a cute, well made,custom collar. We like it. I believe this is the 3rd time I have reordered from them. Even when the neighbor finds them in his yard after he mowed they are still in great condition.

I really had high hopes for this purchase because this is "Amazon's choice" for cat collars in this category. The construction and material is excellent. The price is almost free, to be honest. Two collars for the price of one. I'm not complaining about that. The only observation is the reflective material is not woven into the collar and is just printing or silk-screened on makes the reflective material not very durable and comes off after the first week or two of wearing the collar. The durability, construction, and reflective quality is very good! The reflective material itself falls short of expectations. Overall I would give four out of five stars but I think the product would be significantly improved by weaving the reflective material into the collar instead of "pasting it on". I would certainly purchase again if this change was made. Until then, I'll just vacuum the tiny pieces of reflective material scattered around my house. Another plus is that I have an extra collar for when the current one gets lost or damaged! I'd give 3.6 stars but that's not an option. Overall this is a good purchase. Ships quick, quality materials. If you don't mind the reflective stuff falling off over time it's a good deal. Okay, I haven't had cats for close to 20 years now. And, they were always indoor cats. However, I inherited my younger brother's orange tabby. She had formerly been an outdoor cat and was slowly becoming used to being an indoor cat. However, she's one of those that has to have a little of each world -- it's both inside and out for her. I wanted something reflective for the sake of her safety. The artistic side of me wanted something that looked cool for a cat that is otherwise uncool. What you see above is what I bought. Now, here's a word of warning to everybody. If you've ever wondered by cat collars are sold in multi packs, I think I know the reason. Mr. or Mrs. Kitty is constantly scratching, and they eventually scratch off the reflective elements of their collars. This takes only two to four months based on my recent experience. That's when you need to replace the "worn-out" collar with one that is once more reflective. Dollar for dollar, a multi-pack is your best bargain. And something else equally important. These are so-called "breakaway" collars. They don't actually break away, instead, the collar clasp is designed to be fairly weak, thus, easily opened. (You know, if their collar gets hung up on a branch, or a fence, it's important that the collar releases your cat from potentially fatal consequences.) If my cat loses her collar, she loses her name tag, and she loses my phone number. Here's what I now do: I take a short length of electrical wire and strip off the insulation. Once I have done that, I separate one single strand of wire from the other similarly twisted wires in that single bundle. Then, I attach one end of the wire to one side of the collar's clasp, then cut the wire to about 4 in in length. I then attach the other end of the wire to the opposite collar clasp. Both ends of the wire have to be twisted tightly, making sure that the ends of the wires can't poke into my cat's skin. That leaves me with about 2 in of wire between the two clasps. This way, if the clasp comes undone, the safety wire holds the collar on my kitty's neck until she return home. Finally, i want to make sure that two inch length of wire is tucked toward the underside of the clasp (in other words, out of the way when she scratches her neck). Remember, they scratch routinely and you don't want them untying or breaking that safety wire with their hind claws.

Aunque viene para gatitos flacos o pequeños, se siente buena compra y resistente, se ve durara un par de años, no servira si su gato es talla grande o gordo, en mi caso mi gatita de 5,6 meses se adapto perfecta y con par de meses sigue bien el collar, buena compra creo.

Seems to work for my 'hunter' in that I can put bells on her to protect garden wildlife. I like the fact that it's a 'break-away' feature, that gives her protection if she gets snagged in underbrush.
