This is a very nice antenna! Works perfectly on my tac vest for comms... signal strength is great, range is great, build quality is amazing. Highly recommend getting one for your setup. It fit perfectly running through the molle on my vest.

Love this over the whip antenna, fits great on my vest, it's rugged and flexible.

I used it on a baofeng and hit repeaters beyond 25 miles away from inside my house. Not sure how long it will last but…not bad on VHF/UHF in the ham bands…GMRS is less great. B

Arrived without any visible defects, but reception/transmission was terrible. Tried on 3 different radios/models. Could barely talk 1/4 mile where other antennas go for miles. Returned.

I bought this antenna to use with a Baofeng AR152 I bought in the same order. Had been wanting something a bit more powerful than the current radio I had and heard a lot of good things about this radio. I knew that they would give me a standard antenna with it so I wanted to up the game just a bit and get something that could possibly do this as well as be somewhat bendable but not like the slap bracelet style antenna. This antenna works really well as I can pick up the weather channel inside my house wth little to no static as where with my other radio and smaller antenna I have to get closer to a window or go outside to get clear reception. I did some testing with this outside with some airsoft friends and found we can get about 2 miles line of site whereas I can only get a mile with my other radio so the antenna does make a difference. Im sure if you added a signal booster wth this antenna you could get it out even further. Great addition to the radio I have.

The construction for this antenna certainly appears heavy duty and their seems to be good reception and gain but without the proper support around the base of the antenna where it screws into the radio I would be leary of going mobile, it just seems too heavy to me. I fear it may place a bit too much strain on the sma connector.
