Sweet, angsty and thoroughly fulfilling
Hibbert books have become a complete insta buy for me and I keep them in my kindle as precious gems I only crack in the event of serious stress, maybe that's why I waiting until December of the year of our Lord Lucifer Morningstar 2020 to start this one.Her books are always hot as all hells, and deal with the reality of BAME in UK, which as a Latinx immigrant, I appreciate, but also her characters are usually dealing with some heavy personal mental health issues, which could easily, and dangerously, end up in "magic vagina/penis" fix all your issues because love is meant to fix you.Hibbert manages to inspire and provide hope without giving easy answers, understanding that the best love is the one that provides understanding and support allowing to nurture the courage it takes to get on the path of recovery and growth. Also, amazing sex scenes, I almost missed my tube station and I'm happy for my mask, I have the horrible feeling Talia Hibbert might be able to make me flustered.

BUY THIS BOOK!!
Once you read Talia Hibbert, you'll never want to compromise on romance (or any book, for that matter) ever again. Her books are overflowing with love, reality, and genuine characters who experience trauma, difficulty, growth, and forgiveness. Although her books always take me on an emotional rollercoaster (an understatement!!), I'm thankful for the many many emotions I felt during 'Wanna Bet?'! It combines difficult issues with romance and subtle discussion of our treatment of others. I don't know how to word vomit in the right way to get you to buy this book, so all I can say is BUY THIS BOOK and every single other one of Talia's beautiful, loving, complicated, fantastic books.

Deeply Romantic Story
People - Talia has pretty much figured out my tune.I've met my new favourite romance writer. The tension, the heartbreak, the build.Delicious.It can be a frustrating read because basically from the start you have Rahul who is hopelessly in love with Jasmine and she has too many mental struggles to really accept and nurture that love, but it's written more empathetically so you really understand her thought process instead of getting frustrated about the characters not talking to each other.I loved the premise, I thought the steam was hot, the characters were hot. The way they describe how they feel and how they see each other is really quite poetic. This is one of my favourite romances now.And to think - I bought this book accidentally lol. I meant to just look at it and I clicked too many times. #NoRegrets

Great story
This book is definitely full of angst: Rahul loves Jasmine. Jasmine has abandonment issues that she's solved by keeping herself self-contained. This is their story. Hibbert writes the most delicious men. They are not only gentle and caring, but they understand what love is. Rahul understands Jasmine the way no one else does. He has studied her, in the same way he studied his courses at uni. There is something especially erotic to have a hero who cares enough about the heroine to do that. I liked Jasmine, her charm pulled me in, but Rahul--he was the real deal. And watching the two of them together, perfect. I liked how she was energised by betting and how that played out in the story. Hibbert is really good at making the action of betting become about more than cards and m&ms, but about the risks of loving as well. This was very much a two hander, but I also enjoyed reading about their friendships and families. That helped ground the book in reality. Hibbert writes beautifully and with sophistication, making the book more than just another romance. She is not afraid of grappling with difficult people, but it didn't feel like melodrama. I loved it.

Read in kindle unlimited via kindle cloudI’ve only read a handful of books by this author and I can say that I have really enjoyed reading them which is why I picked up this book up when I saw it was on kindle unlimited. I can say that it’s a great book to read and that I enjoyed every minute of reading this book too. I really liked the storyline and the characters in this story. They really catch your attention and don’t let go till you have read the whole story. They also had great chemistry between them too. I will be on the look out for future books by this author and I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone
