Redken & Rowenta Salon Steam Infusion Straightening Iron

I have the commercial version of this steam iron and LOVE it; however, when traveling, it is too big to take with me. This iron offers the same quality as my full size and is much more portable. My only wish is that I cannot find de- mineralized water anywhere- so I have been using distilled. I've attached photos of my naturally curly hair and straightened hair. I live in Florida where we endure 150% humidity! I can get two days of completely straight hair before having to wash, etc. HIGHLY recommend!

Throw away every other flat iron, round brush and no need for professional keratin treatments or blow outs! This is it!! AMAZING!! It's makes my hair look perfect!! My hair becomes smooth, voluminous, shiny and gorgeous with the Redken steam infusion!! I typically don't care for the flat iron look which can make my hair pin straight, super flat and dull but this steam iron is different because it makes your hair literally perfect without damage!! I read all the great reviews but the real magic happened is when I tried it! I will never go back!! And the sellers, are awesome!! They shipped so fast too! This is the best thing I've ever bought!! I've tried every hair appliance out there and my search is finally over!! You can also do curls and waves with this genius hair tool!! Try it and fall in love with your hair!!

I love, love, love this iron. It makes my hair so smooth, shiny and straight with fairly minimal effort. It takes a little longer to set up (filling the reservoir, and heating up) than a normal iron so I only use it if I have some extra time. I practically never do my hair as it is so I don't have much patience for things that take away my precious sleep.The other main thing that I never read about this iron was that after emptying the reservoir I like to purge the line until steam stops coming out (which also takes a few minutes). After about a month I noticed a mildewy smell in my hair after straightening and realized that it was residual water in the cord that was making it smell.The minor inconveniences aside this iron is well worth the price tag.

Is it wrong to love an inanimate object?? Not if it is this flat iron! I cannot believe how silky, shiny, healthy & just plain wonderful my hair becomes when I use this iron.Every woman in my office has complimented my "new" hair!! My "old" hair was very thick, coarse and wavy to kinky curly if I didn't beat it into submission. It didn't grow long, it just grew bushy and I just hated how much time it took to do. I'm using the Redken Frizz Dismiss line, along with this iron and it's made all the difference.Don't get me wrong, I got sticker shock when I saw the price of this iron, but considering the small fortune I've spent in 50+ years of bad hair days on potions and devices that didn't work, it is so worth it. Find a salon that uses the professional version - I had a blow out done at an Ulta salon - and see what it can do for you. Thank you Redken/Rowenta for putting your brilliant heads together and coming up with this flat iron!! It's amazing and I'll never use anything else!

I like this product. I have mid back length 4c natural hair. I don't straighten my hair often- maybe annually and if I'm going to invest the time to straighten it I want it to actually work. My hair straightened more with this product then any other method that I've tried at home. The device can be a little hard to handle yourself since it needs to only go in one direction: its not exactly designed for self use. I didn't use the suggested temperature for course hair because I wasn't going for bone straight hair and to reduce the possibility of heat damage.

I've been a hot tool addict for years and CANNOT stress how great this one is. I bought it after a friend recommended the L'Oreal Steam Pod (not available in the US, but she's an Aussie/Londoner lucky gal!) It does take extra time to get to know it, and patience is key, but I used it for the heck of it without any other products and after three turns on each section, there was such bounce and shine! When you combine it with the smoothing serum and creme, it's pure hair magic--but again, you gotta be patient and let it do its magic. Once you get the hang of it, you won't believe how great it is. Finally, it costs a mini fortune, but it's worth every penny!

I purchased this iron on January 21st 2015 and used it only 2 times as I found it pretty difficult to use due to its size and design. In fact, it's bulkiness and weight causes me extreme discomfort after little time of holding it but as the result was nice (silky smooth hair without the "poker straight hair" look) I decided to keep it and to use it only from time to time. However, when I tried using it for the 3rd time yesterday, the iron 's power light didn't wanted to turn on, neither did the iron warmed up!! After spending that much money for this product, I was expecting to get a good quality and long-lasting item, I was wrong!!! I'm extremely disappointed and I advise you not to make the same mistake, it's just pouring money down the drain....

This straightening iron is expensive, but is worth it in my opinion. I have thick color treated hair. I dry my hair with a blow dryer (no straightening with a brush) or let it air dry. The result makes my hair wavy, kind of dry looking and poofy - not good. I then use this straightening iron. It makes my hair look incredible. It is smooth and shiny and the straight style lasts for several days. I'm amazed that this product works so well. I say go for it! You will not regret the purchase. As a side note, I do use the hair styling products that are recommended when you use this straightener.
