I honestly wanted this thing as a sort of chill-out gentle light show for a bedroom. What you probably would want to know most of all is if it works. Yes, it does. Oh, boy, it does. Seriously, that is one impressive light show in one tiny capsule. A few things of note: - It's cool. Really cool. Put on some gentle piano or music of choice to go along with this and enjoy the (light) show. My personal favorite is smooth jazz, but classical works very nicely, too. It's got higher-intensity settings if you just want to rave out. - While you can use this for nothing more than personal use if you're like me and to have a nice pad for people, I can see this being used for social gatherings with the aforementioned music of choice. You'll probably want the remote version in that case, though, because this thing has a one-hour timer on it in case you fall asleep. - It is one seriously small capsule (like barely six inches in diameter, iirc), but it has a big freaking output. It's downright striking, considering it works off a 1W USB power cord (a convenient AC adapter is included, but any USB power supply will do). You can plug this into any computer and boom, you're good to go. - There is a variety of color and intensity settings, depending on the mood. It can be super-gentle or have an almost strobe-like effect, if you want. It's not infinitely customizable, sadly, and they are pre-programmed sets, but they're definitely good enough for me in terms of variety and personalization. - It kinda feels like the dome stays on for a kid's room, and you pop the lid (i.e., take the dome part off) when the adults are around. The dome softens the lights and effects quite a bit to give it a much more gentle feeling. Take the dome off, and it's much more a show. Kinda neat, either way. - I do feel it necessary to point out that this would almost certainly be an exceptional hit if one was intoxicated in pretty much any way. - I also can't help but feel like it'd be a fun thing if you had a girl hanging out with you in your room. It's a little hard to explain, but it's got a vibe to it that makes it feel ideal if you were chilling with your significant other, best friend, or love interest, and having deep conversations late at night, talking about life and love and infinity. Test pending on that.

I bought one of these just because it looked cool in the videos and I am collecting a bunch of different and cheap lights to make my apartment look like a nightclub because I write electronic music. I wish I would of known about the updated one because it comes with a remote but since this isn't meant to be hung on the ceiling, it really isn't necessary. I like that it turns off after a while because I often fall asleep when it is on. Leaving it on all the time, just means the lights will burn out sooner. This is no baby nightlight, I mean it could be used as one or it could be something adults stare at when they are on psychedelics, lol. I put it on the flashing mode and it seems to sync to fast electronic music quite well. I never use the speaker and don't intend to, didn't even know it came with one. All the settings are pretty cool, I wish I could turn the red lasers off sometimes though. It is good to rave out to and it is good to relax. I'm very impressed with this light actually because it is unique, one of a kind. It looks really cool with the dome on it as well, like a crystal ball or ball of plasma, definitely worth the money. It stays on for at least an hour before it turns off, don't know why so many complain about that. If it turns off just turn it back on, save electricity and make the lights last longer. This should be advertised as a rave toy more than a baby's night light, lol 5 stars all the way with this one

I really like this product for the projector alone. It's got about five different color settings so you can choose something bright and faster if you're hyper, or something slower and muted for relaxing. You can leave the top on to make the colors less prominent if you'd like to use it as a night light, or take it off for the full effect. The purples, reds, and blues are gorgeous and I like watching the pattern dance around on my ceiling. The product itself seems a bit cheaply made. The plugs are kind of touchy, for example- sometimes my phone will mysteriously stop working and I will have to unplug and then re-plug in the aux cord. The sound gets fuzzy after a few hours of play, but that can again, be fixed easily by re-plugging in the aux. I'd also like to mention that the middle button sometimes gets stuck on mine and it doesn't get that loud so you might want to find a better-quality speaker if youre expecting a pristine, loud sound. In my opinion, that's not a huge deal and projector makes up for that by being awesome. Overall, this is a really cool speaker/projector and I get a lot of compliments on it. It would be great for people of any age and make a good gift.

I do love light displays and find them relaxing so I ordered two of these. When they arrived I took it out of the box plugged it in and was sort of meh....but after adjusting the angle and getting at the right height I quickly came to love these. I have one in the living room on a tall speaker and with it tilted a bit it produces a very nice, relaxing laser light show with the globe cover off. It's a nice accompaniment to tv or music. I've heard people complain about the cover being too restrictive. And I agree it does reduces the sharpness and brightness, but having the second in my bedroom and in the pitch black the cover produces a very nice Aurora effect that is super soft, relaxing and not bright enough to disturb you as you drift off to sleep. Without it it's just too bright to sleep. It's a completely different effect but very calming....almost fire like...hard to explain. It has a a few color options but the first multi colored one is my favorite either with or without the glob. With the bedroom lamp and globe I combine that with some white noise from a fan or youtube video and it's off to lullaby land. $15 would be perfect but I'm not unhappy paying full retail. Haven't tired the speaker and doubt I will. It's just a nice atmospheric effect for me.

The product is satisfactory and my 13 year old son enjoys having it on when he is going to sleep. It does shut off automatically after an hour or so, which is a nice feature. The translucent plastic dome lid lifts off to create a striking, mobile and colorful "northern lights" display on the ceiling. However, please note that it is very bright - so much so that I found myself deliberately avoiding looking at the source. It was was also much too bright for my son to get to sleep, so he has been using it with the lid on. With the lid on, you get more of a night-light effect with a diffuse projection of moving colors on the ceiling that he likes and that is not too bright. The product came with an audio cable to allow connection of a phone or iPod to the speaker, but that seems a bit clunky in this age of Bluetooth so we are not likely to use it. The plastic housing of one of the ends of the cable was not cast properly leaving some of the inner part of the connector exposed. I did not attempt to exchange it since we are not going to use the speaker anyway. Also, we have noticed that the on/off button sometimes sticks when pressed which then prevents the device from shutting off automatically. We just have to be careful to make sure it pops back up after we press it to turn the device on. I would have rated this product 4 stars if it had not been so bright or if it had a brightness adjustment and 5 stars if it had not had the problems with the audio cable and the on/off button.

So, my boyfriend and I LOVE this projection lamp!! We purchased it as part of a space-themed Christmas gift for the kiddos and just HAD to plug it up and see what it looked like before we gave it to them....and now we don't want to give it back! I love that it has a cover to dim the lights when needed, as it's great for making sure there's no harm to the little ones' eyes, but man, make sure you take the cover off and experience it fully! The lights are gorgeous, I love the different modes and the fact that the laser pattern is a lengthy one (i.e., that the light patterns do not quickly repeat over and over again). With the tilting ability, it can easily project light across my entire ceiling despite the fact that my bedroom is rather large. The capability as a speaker is a nice added function, as well, and we use it to listen to music as we unwind at the end of the day. If you're on the fence about it, grab it--it's worth it! Or better yet, maybe try out the newer version! I haven't gotten to try it yet but am definitely looking forward to it. First, though, I have to convince my boyfriend that the light stays here while he is staying elsewhere for work, lol!

I'm updating my review because I received a very nice timely response from Amanda regarding my initial review. Amanda informed me that they have an upgraded model that allows the light to stay on for 1, 2, and 4 hours or all night, and it also comes with a remote. She offered to send me the upgraded version without me having to return the one I have now. This offer was truly much more than I expected. I have to say this is the best customer service I have received in a very long time. I recommend this company to anyone interested in one of these projector night lights, but want to tell you to make sure you get the upgraded version if you want something that stays on longer or all night. Some folks may not mind one that shuts off after an hour (my sister is fine with hers), but pay attention to the one you put in your shopping cart if you want one that stays on longer. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I returned the first one because I thought it was defective since it kept turning off after an hour. I got the second one and it does the same thing. I only found out it runs for an hour and then turns itself off only after reading the reviews. The light is beautiful and quite dramatic, but why oh why would anyone want to have to keep turning it back on? An undesirable feature and cistomers should know that up front. Not worth the time to wrap it and take it to UPS again. So disappointed.

Bought two of these or my children's room and they love them. They are bright enough to provide a nice light at night, but not too bright as to disturb sleep. They do make very nice, comforting lights on the ceiling for children to relax to. The only thing I don't like about these lights is that they shut off automatically after an hour. So if my kids wake up in the middle of the night, guess who has to get up to the crying and scared kids?...ME! So I had to put another small plug in night light in their rooms in addition to these aurora lights. Not a big deal, but still kind of a pain. There are many different light settings though and the solid red one seems to be best for my children to fall asleep to. I had to remove the black globe on both of them though. With the globe on, the lights are not bright enough and you don't see much of a projection on the ceiling. Overall, a good purchase and my kids enjoy the lights and seem to fall asleep a little easier with these in their rooms.

Too much costly... I appreciate the seller Mr. Abhay.. he gave excellent service.. But I'm not happy with the product... It's too much overpriced. 5000 rupees for an below average speaker and just lights is not worthy. The product is made of very cheap plastic.. No branded box came. No manufacturer name or country has been written... Box is very local and cheap.. and seems like any roadside product which u may get at 500rs. Product is good but it should be around 500-600 rupees not more than that

I thought the high price will come up with the quality. I dont know about the manufacturer but the sellar is selling us crap material. Don't buy. Thanks me later
