Preethi Eco Plus is an affordable Indian Mixer Blender Grinder, specifically made for assisting Indian kitchen cooking. On comparison with US brands of Mixers Blenders, it may lack power and sophistication but it is excellent for Indian Kitchen needs. Our family has been using Preethi brand Mixer Grinder since 1984 (India days) and my aged mother is very attached to Preethi and she demands only Preethi Mixer Grinder to be bought whenever we wanted to replace the old Mixer Grinder. It is also good in a way, the previous jars fitted the new purchases. Most of our Preethi Mixers last almost 7 to 10 years. Old moderls were studier and new models have not been lasting long compared with earlier models.

The motor is very noisy. Food overflows even when the jar is only 1/3 full. I am returning after the first use. The lid does not fit properly (leakage). The jar and the United (base) heated up within the first two minutes of use. I don’t recommend this brand to anyone. Very bad. Sorry to say but this should be taken off the market.

I don't know how I ever lived without this mixie! I use it for everything from chutneys to pesto. It comes with a free, extra big jar as well that would be perfect for shakes and the like (if only we made those). All the jars are stainless steel and can go in the dishwasher, which is the single biggest plus for me. I have used this (and then run the jar through the dishwasher) at least once a week for months now and it still looks and works like new. The stainless steel blades are super sturdy and grind anything from whole sticks of cinnamon to large chunks of dried coconut without any issues. It's comparatively loud, and unlike my standard American blender, it doesn't have any safety features built in (I could easily open the lid while the blades are rotating and put my finger in, if I so chose -- but then again, I'm an adult, so...). But honestly, those are not deal breakers.

Purchased same one before in person from the same seller while in Chicago and that one lasted for 13yrs and it was time to buy another one.. Hoping to get similar usage from this one as well

This was a great purchase. It works very well with large and small amounts. It has great power and is easy to clean. I sold a Vitamix in oder to purchase this Preethi mixer and I am so happy I did. The Preethi is also a much better price.

I had one like this before and used more than 20 years. So thought to buy a new one. Very happy with the product. It is for my everyday use and it is definitely a product to keep.

I got this mixer in Canada thinking, I would be getting same power of a motor with a great steel jar and a solid motor that could even cut a ice through. My initial impression was it is a solid mixer grinder (likes of Nirali, Sujata) of indian type and that could easily make chutneys, smoothies etc. But its nowhere near. Neither it grinds anything properly. To top it off the lid starts to leaking and if you are not paying enough attention the lid would blow up. ABSOLUTE WASTE of MY $300. ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMENDED.
