I don't know what color i need.  if i buy the wrong color can i return it or am i stuck with it? it's very expensive to randomly guess on color.

I have been using the banane for years daily. I am quite pale & pink but believe it or not it is almost a neutral so doesn’t read yellow at all.  A friend of mine is a makeup artist and she had recommended it. So unless you have really olive skin with green undertones it should be great!  It is expensive but it is worth it. I certainly understand the concern about not being able to return it. It is hard to find a department store that carries it in the US. So it is hard to check the colour in person.....  good luck!

Does this have a screen for sifting?

Yes.  It's a little difficult when you first open as the screen will be a little buried so be sure you tap it on the counter for a bit before you open it.  This is the BEST powder in the world.  Been using it for 20 years and used to only be able to get it in France and bought it at the actual pharmacy where it's been produced and sold since the 1800's.  You'll love it.

How do you know what color powder to order?

I'm a make up artist and my mentor taught me about the Banane pale yellow.  Great as a loose setting powder for everyone but very good for redness without being too "white" like the color corrective green which they also have.  If you look at a paint color wheel opposites in " foundation" products like concealer, foundation, and powder correct skin tones.  They have other colors but as a make up artist this is my go to for all skin tones even darker.  I hope this helps.
