FRONTLINE Spray Treatment for Pets, 8.5 FZ

I purchased this product for the treatment of mites in a snake I bought from a pet shop. She had a moderate infestation when we received her and prior to purchase I was treating her with a natural alternative and that just wasn’t getting the job done. The Frontline although listed for the use on cats and dogs does work on reptiles. I like the fact that I only had to apply it ONCE and it solved our mite problem as to where the natural alternative had to be applied multiple times with very little to no effect. If you choose to go this route to treat your snake please be aware that this product is not to be sprayed directly on the snake and DO NOT SATURATE your reptile in this stuff. To apply the product on the snake I donned a pair of gloves, sprayed the product onto the palm of one of my gloved hands and rubbed a bit to transfer the Frontline to the other glove. Pick up the snake avoiding the face and head and rubbed it down the entire length of the snakes body from neck to tip of tail. It’s alcohol based and dries quickly so you may have to apply more and continue the treatment from the area that you left off until the snake is covered and the product is completely dry. To treat the head, I just took a bit of the spray and applied to my fingertip and then transferred by dabbing it onto her head avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Again DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY ON THE SNAKE AND AVOID THE FACE AND EYES. Do not spray the bedding or enclosure because there is no need to do so. Better to throw out any substrate and enclosure items that can’t be soaked and washed in warm/hot water. Clean the enclosure and use white paper towel as bedding (changed out daily and as needed) until no mites are seen. The product is also waterproof so it remains on the body for a good while so no worries about it transferring to the water source of your reptile although I still removed her water dish for 24 hours out of an abundance of caution and would recommend others to do the same. One treatment should be enough. DO NOT put on a reptile that has recently shed. WAIT at least A WEEK AFTER shedding before applying.

My pet chickens were being eaten alive by mites and absolutely nothing (permethrin, ivermectin, neem oil, sevin dust, scrubbing, cleaning, bathing, throwing away their bedding...) was working. This stuff has a concerning margin of error (easy to lethal dose) rate for poultry like chickens and quail (I think more than a handful of direct sprays is enough to kill a small chicken), so this was the last resort. I sprayed their roosts, nest boxes, coop walls, and floor lightly. Then I sprayed each chicken's butt ONCE. The mites were all gone in a day. Their feathers grew back, they regained their weight, their anemia subsided, and the mites have been gone since. I still have half a bottle left, just in case. Of course, don't eat your birds' eggs for at least a month after treatment.The mites returned a few months later and I repeated what I did. After that, they've been gone. I spray just the walls and roosts every 2 months now as a preventative because I am still traumatized.

Frontline is the best brand for tick control.

Esto es súper bueno y mata las pulgas a las garrapatas que son difíciles de exterminar las mata pero solo si el producto les cael directamente a ellas perro estaba lleno de garrapatas le puse esto líquido y adiós garrapatas y para las que estar en la llarda o grama en casa aquí Amazon tiene otro producto granulado buenísimo por qué llorar lo he usado y hoy no tengo garrapatas en mi pasto y mis perros estas limpios por qué las garrapatas son bichos malditos difícil de matar pero por fin acave con ellos

Sprayed it on animals after giving them flea medicine and animals still were scratching and still had fleas. Not worth the buy, went to tractor supply and bought a $60 bottle of advantage and it worked no more fleas no scratching

This product is a must if you pick up a new snake at a show that happens to come with a few pesky mites, or if your whole collection has a breakout of mites. Easy and safe to use with ball pythons at least, look up instruction videos online and get your mite issue under control quickly.

Used it for year's until now it made my dog's hair fall out I'm pissed to say the least

I spray my four dogs once a month and sometimes once every other month and never have fleas or ticks a really good product
