Great for hypermobile kids
My daughters have hypermobile joints and the OT gave them one of these pencils to try. The result has been less to no hand pain when they have large writing assignments. They take some getting used to, and my eldest got some teasing at school for being different, but that is nothing the manufacturer can control. These work well and are easy on the hands. Switching out the lead is simple, just use firm pressure, I'm not really sure why so many others are having a hard time with this. We put an eraser pencil topper on one arm so they would have handy erasers and we decorated with tiny stickers to help them remember the correct hand placement. All in all works as designed!

Great Product
These pencils are great. My daughter has been struggling with her pencil grip for some time now and we have tried several tools. The occupational therapist from her school recommended these. She gets hand fatigue but this has helped build her stamina and forces her to hold her pencil correctly. The fun colors are engaging and now other kids are asking for it simply because it’s fun to use.

I think the product is good quality and has helped my grandson hold his pencil ...
Really helped my grandson with his writing. The only negative I have is that I wish they were not all glitter. Boys don't much care for that or maybe I should say my grandson didn't. Outside of the glitter, I think the product is good quality and has helped my grandson hold his pencil in a more comfortable position.

Arthritis approved!
Perfect for my son (6) with JIA! He has constant join swelling and these have improved his hand writing as well as his discomfort! I never thought he would have pretty hand writing, and thanks to our PT recommending these he’s doing much better.

Great idea. But hard to refill
These are great for kids in my first grade class. They like using them. But we are finding them very hard to refill . A couple also stopped twisting. Bummed bc it is an excellent design but frustrating to refill.

Suggested by our OT for 7yo writing
Our 2nd grader has struggled with poor handwriting and quick fatigue while writing. Her OT uses these Twist N Write pencils (and pens) and recommended we get some for use at school and home. It's helped open up her grip and loosen her muscles so she can focus on writing more efficiently and easily. The fact that they are sparkly, unique and multi-colored helps more than I expected as well - she's motivated to keep good track of them and avoid losing them! I've even used them on occasion because they are surprisingly comfortable to write with! We're very pleased with the value of this multi-pack and the ability to refill the lead!

I love these pencils.
These are great for learning writers, and not too shabby for those of us with poor penmanship. Easy to use, easy to refill. Dark marks without needing too much pressure. Would recommend this for anyone who needs to use pencils.

Idea is good but pens the mechanics of the pen are poor
I like to offer this pencil to students who have difficulty holding a pencil correctly. At first, the pencil works well and kids love using it. All of the pencils I ordered lost their leads quickly and it was impossible to re-insert them properly once they had fallen out of the pencils. This may be due to the fact that students started twisting the top too much (you have to twist the top to push out some more lead once it's used up.) Again, the concept of the pencil is great but the quality and user friendliness not so much. We had to throw them out.
