A true high quality ski sock at a really great price
I ski in the West 40 - 50 days/year and own more than 25 pairs of ski socks, some wool and some non-natural fibers. After skiing on these Merino wool blend socks for three days, I would say they are as high quality as any of my other ski socks, which include Smartwool, Stance, Wigwam, Burton, Darn Tough and other mainline brands. They are quite tall, reaching fully up to my knee, and they have a lot of compression and seem very unlikely to slip down my leg. Despite the description referring to targeted cushioning, I would consider them 'full cushion' socks as they are reasonably thick everywhere and don't really have any portions of the sock that seem materially thinner than any other part of the sock. (They are not thick in some places and thin in other places like some ski socks.) The material that runs along the shin seems slightly different (and slightly less thick) than the rest of the sock. This may make them more resistant to wear under the constant back and forth pressure the shin area of the sock encounters during skiing (just a guess), but for me it did not affect the comfort of the sock even under aggressive skiing. I bought the Camo color and find that design very attractive in all of the three colors. In the three pack, they are less than $10/pair, which is about a third of the cost of Smartwool's ski socks. Although neither the packaging nor the text on the Amazon page lists the percentage of wool in the sock, there is one photo that indicates the socks are 31% Merino wool. While that is similar to the Merino content of many wool ski socks and less than the Merino content of a few others, I found these Hylaea socks soft and quite warm. If I didn't already own way more socks than I will ever need, I would buy three more pairs.

Cozy and Breathable – Perfect for Winter
These socks are exactly what I was hoping for in a cold-weather option. The merino wool keeps your feet warm without overheating, which is key—especially if you’re wearing them for extended periods. They feel soft and comfortable, not scratchy like some wool blends can be, and they have a nice amount of cushioning without being too bulky inside boots. I also appreciate that they stay in place well and don’t slide down, which makes them great for skiing, outdoor activities, or even just staying warm around the house. They seem well-made so far and have held up nicely after washing. Overall, these are a great balance of warmth, comfort, and breathability, and I’d definitely recommend them for colder weather or outdoor use.

These work extremely well in the worse cold!
My husband and I wore these while working 8-10 hour shifts as a delivery driver with Amazon and these WORK! We had a pretty big snow storm recently and these definitely kept our feet warm and... no wet socks! yay! the quality is really good and they're pretty soft. they go up to right under my knees and they're pretty tight so they feel like compression socks as well which is a plus! compared to a lot of my other socks, I really like how they don't fall down or anything. They're a little pricey, but so worth it!

Good Price for 3 Pairs of Ski Socks
The three pairs of socks have a nice color design, which I like. It is made of 31% Merino wool per the website. I order the large size (men's 8.5). The fit was good and comfortable, with some cushioning. The socks did reach to my knees, so they will clear ski boots. In review of other ski socks made of Merino wool, you only get one pair for the same price as these three. However, those are made of 65% Merino wool. Will be skiing later in the week and will provide update on how socks handle the cold. Rated 4 stars for now. Update as of 3/22/23: Went on a couple of ski-trips with these socks. On real cold weather days, 5 degrees F to 15 degrees F, my feet started to feel cold/numb after 3 hours on the slopes. Taking a break in the Lodge helped to get the feeling back in my feet. Weather 20 degrees F and above was no problem for these socks. Had them through the wash a bunch of times and they still look new.

Very pleased
Great socks! They are comfortable and stay up. I do wish they were thicker in the heel and Achilles area.

Very Nice, check your calf size though.
Not for people with large calves, I contacted the seller to see if they have knee high ski socks for larger calves, I had to return them, couldn't get them past my mid calf area.

Feet stay comfortable throughout a long day
The blend of merino wool used in these socks is excellent for retaining heat while also wicking away moisture. Whether you're on the slopes or hiking through snow, your feet stay warm and dry, which is crucial in cold weather. The natural breathability of merino wool also helps prevent overheating, making these socks versatile for varying levels of activity. One of the key features of these socks is their knee-high design, providing full coverage and support. The fit is snug but not too tight, with enough elasticity to stay in place without slipping down during intense movement. The reinforced heel and toe areas add extra durability, which is a significant advantage if you're using them regularly in tough conditions. Beyond winter sports, these socks are also perfect for other cold-weather activities such as hunting or winter hiking. Their thermal properties make them suitable for extended periods outdoors, and the moisture-wicking ability ensures that your feet remain dry even in challenging conditions. The padding in critical areas, like the shins and soles, provides comfort without compromising the fit of your boots. This balance ensures that your feet stay comfortable throughout a long day on the mountain, reducing the likelihood of blisters or discomfort.

🏂❄️ Reliable Winter Companion: Merino Wool Ski Socks ❄️🏂
My experience with the Merino Wool Ski Socks during our winter adventure in Iceland was a mixed one. While they have several positive attributes, there's a notable drawback to consider. Let's start with the positive aspects. These socks come in the perfect size, providing a snug and comfortable fit. The quality of the materials used is commendable, and they did an excellent job of keeping our feet warm in the Icelandic cold without causing excess sweat. However, there's a caveat to consider. The socks have a somewhat compressive quality, which can be beneficial for some, but the issue arises with the tightness around the knee area. This tightness under the knee occasionally caused discomfort and even pain. It's worth noting that this problem wasn't isolated to just one user; my teenager also experienced the same discomfort. In summary, the Merino Wool Ski Socks offer some positive features such as sizing, comfort, quality, and warmth. However, the tightness around the knee area can be a concern for some users, leading to occasional discomfort.
