SportRack Jetty Saddle Kayak Rack

Very nice product. Works perfectly with my 14' Perception Acadia II kayak. Very easy to install, no tools needed. Also simple to adjust when kayak is sitting on them. Mounted to the OEM cross rails on a 2013 Honda Pilot. I did need to make a simple adjustment to the U-bolt. I had to bend them in a tad, to shorten the spread so they slid nicely into the plastic cradle. I was able to do this by hand. They will fit as provided, it was just a little difficult to get them through. Bending was a simple solution.

work perfect for my sit on top recreation boats and my day touring kayak. Definitely recommend these. Sport Rack is now owned by Thule. No reason to spend more money on the actually thule ones as these work just as well. As most accessories, these work better with the thule square bars vs the yakima round ones.

They are OK saddles for a kayak but they flop all over when I am loading. I have to reach up and lift the kayak and flip them back around the roof rack bar. Aside from that they hold the boat well, just flip and flop when loading and unloading. They have scratched a lot of paint off the rack crossbar by flipping so much.

I bought these around 4 months ago and they work great. I've used them a dozen or more time with no issues. I've used them on my rack system on my Jeep and on my girlfriends suv- light off roading in my jeep no problem. We took a 3.5 hour trip via highway/freeway again no problem. I have a 10 foot around 50 lb kayak, and this week I'm buying a 12' 70lb kayak. I have no concerns this kayak carrier will do the trick. Can't beat the price- it does what its supposed to do.

Returning, they don’t fit well on my stock racks on Subaru. The angle is wrong. Not adjustable

the reason for the poor review is two things: 1. the part that goes underneath the cross bar on the car is very difficult to attach to the upper part of the saddle. The screw ends are hard to get through the holes they are supposed to fit in. It's almost impossible to do while the bar is on the car. 2. Then, both the part that goes under the bar and the part on top scratch the paint on the bar. Everytime I put them on the bar, it takes at least 15 minutes and a lot of swearing. They work fine once they are on and adjusted, but not worth the price and frustration. I would send them back, but I don't have the box anymore.

I have an old set of Thule saddles that I've had for years for my sea kayak and one of the saddle's is busted. This is a perfect fit and match at a great price.

I like this product. Easy install and very sturdy. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is because they are not theft proof, and once you get your kayak or equipment on them, it's difficult to slide it forward/backward. This is good to an extent because you obviously don't want your kayak sliding around when you're driving. They also don't confirm perfectly to my kayak since there's no way to adjust the angle. Overall I'm happy with the saddles.

Fits perfectly my playboat! For those complaining it's not tefth proof, just add a nut under the provided one... Of course it will take you 20 minutes to install using a 10mm key but it will keep thiefs away. Very stable and bends slightly to adapt your kayak's shape. Excellent saddles at low cost.

not the best kayak saddle but great value for the price. worth the buy if you don't want to spend lots of money.
