Skin Safe and Beautiful Blend
This sunscreen is a godsend! I started suffering from perioral dermatitis, as well as fungal acne and other unknown skin reactions, in my late thirties. It seemed no matter what I put on my face, it was red and burning. I finally gave in to a "zero therapy" approach (aka nothing going on my skin) but living in Florida, I knew I had to find a sunscreen asap. Although I traditionally HATED mineral sunscreen, COTZ completely changed my mind. It didn't irritate my skin, cause any new breakouts, and blended out so beautifully. I'm a convert for life!

LOVE
I've tried so many sunscreen products. It's very important to me and I use it daily every single day of the year, rain or shine. Usually a product is good in many areas but doesn't check off everything on the list. This one is a pro to me for the following reasons...It's an elegant mineral sunscreen that doesn't sting my face or my eyes at all. My eyes are very sensitive so I must have a mineral sunscreen for that reason. Most mineral SS's are chalky, hard to rub in and don't work with makeup. The Blue Lizard SS was my HG for the longest time. I struggled with letting it go because I loved the sun protection it gave and I LOVED the mattifying capabilities. It was seriously like a primer. But the cons were it was just too thick and took too long to a) rub in, and b) dry down so I could apply my makeup. This is why I love the Cotz. It sinks in immediately and applies like a regular moisturizer. It's not mattifying but I'm fine with that bc of the other reasons why I love it. I have normal/combo skin and find I don't need moisturizer as this SS has a great deal of moisture. If you have very dry skin you might still need some underneath but I doubt it.On me it does not leave a white cast. It's not chalky. It dries down quickly. It's a great price and given the fact that we get 3.5oz instead of the usual pathetic 1.7oz this SS is so worth it in every way!If you're incredibly oily likely this won't work for you. But if you have normal, dry or combo skin then try this sunscreen. I've been so happy with it!

Surprisingly awesome mineral sunscreen
Iโve been using this sunscreen daily for a little over two weeks now, and Iโm genuinely impressed.First, the texture: it comes out fairly thick, which initially made me think it might feel heavy or greasy. Thankfully, that hasnโt been the case at all. It feels hydrating and nourishing without being overly greasy, suffocating, or uncomfortable on the skin. One of the main reasons I purchased this sunscreen is because itโs completely mineral, which I really appreciate. Finding a good mineral SPF can be difficult because most zinc oxide formulas leave behind a noticeable white cast. This is the first mineral sunscreen Iโve used that truly leaves no white cast behind. That alone makes it stand out.I also suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, so skin compatibility is extremely important to me. Many sunscreens can trigger irritation or flare-ups, but this one has been wonderfully gentle. Iโve used it consistently every day for over two weeks and have experienced zero flare-ups or worsening of my seborrheic dermatitis. At this point, Iโm honestly enjoying this sunscreen enough that I may stick with it long term. It performs well, feels comfortable, and has been very compatible with my sensitive, dermatitis-prone skin.Highly recommended if youโre looking for a mineral sunscreen that is hydrating, cosmetically elegant, ot does leave a ever so slightly nice sheen on the skin which I like, and gentle on sensitive skin.

For the Ones with Sensitive Skin/ ZERO WHITECAST
This is great for all the people out there who have very sensitive skin. I have been really trying to up my game with sunscreen as this is SO important and hadnโt come across anything truly special yet. I didnโt want to give up but noticed that the sunscreens I had used before were either too drying or provided a white cast. I also didnโt want to spend a ton of money on 1 ounce of product to get what I was looking for - I found this brand and looked through all their various sunscreens and couldnโt decide. They have some which are more expensive than this one and give you less product probably because they are tinted but I want to mention that this particular one I am reviewing has NO WHITECAST. I mean it too. Just take the time to blend it. I myself am of color and continue to not have problems with blending this. Though this is a very moisturizing product that is greasy. So if you are of an oily nature, I would say just be aware that this is not matte by any means. I usually add a touch of powder on top but the shine is definitely not unbearable. I have quite dry skin and I am on prescription retinoids and and need all the moisture I can get. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this product. As you can see from the pictures, I bought this product when there was still the old packaging. I recommended this to a friend and they picked it up too but received the new packaging and it works just the same - it blends into facial hair (especially beards) nicely - For a product containing such a high amount of zinc, itโs usually hard to avoid a whitecast but somehow Cotz managed to do it and very well to say the least. Please give it a try if you are unsure on which Cotz product to purchase, have acne/sensitive skin or are on a budget. Good work Cotz. Will continue to repurchase. Side note: you need to reapply your sunscreens, regardless of the brand or type, at least every two hours if outdoors and at least every three to four (pushing it) if indoors. If you donโt reapply, youโre not doing your skin any favors! I reapply many times throughout the day and still have a decent amount of product left. It lasts awhile.

Is this the best sunscreen ever?
I am kind of a sunscreen fanatic. Itโs OK though because I am fanatical about many things. I use sunscreen daily on my face. Prior to this one , i used for many years, Neutrogena Ultrasheer with Helioplex. Ultrasheer is in my opinion, the best broad spectrum sunscreen in terms of performance, wearability, and application ease. Recent health warnings about potentially unhealthy ingredients in chemical sunscreens prompted me to look for a safer alternative. From my research, a sunscreen with 20% zinc, such as this Cotz sensitive skin sunscreen will outperform ones with titanium dioxide and lower concentrations of zinc. An alternative I have tried prior to this Cotz is the recently released Neutrogena Face Sheerzinc, also containing 20% zinc. When compared, the Cotz is easier to apply, almost enjoyable in fact. Cotz also feels lighter on the face and leaves less white cast. The Neutrogena actually has a very low ease of application otherwise it would be a suitable alternative. As it is, I really do believe that this Cotz is the best sunscreen on the market.

Overall this is a good sunscreen
Out of all the sunscreens with +20% zinc oxide, this one is the nicest. The texture isn't too greasy when compared to Neutrogena's & Aveeno's 20% zinc oxide formulations. The white cast goes away after a few minutes too, so A+ for minimal to no white cast. The finish is slightly shiny, but I'm able to easily control it with mattifying powder. BTW this sunscreen (the Cotz Sensitive, w/ 20% zinc oxide, not tinted) is SO MUCH BETTER than the Cotz Flawless 20% zinc oxide tinted. The Flawless tinted version is the greasiest sunscreen I've ever tried in my life. The sensitive skin version is a million times better.I like sunscreens that I can apply around my eyes, this burned my eyelids slightly--not a huge fault, since that area of the face is sensitive anyways. This does not pill under makeup, but it highlighted my pores. I don't like how my makeup looks when layered over this sunscreen. For those reasons I won't repurchase. I will finish the bottle though, and I really think this sunscreen is worth a try if you're looking for a pure zinc oxide sunscreen.

Favorite Zinc Oxide Sunscreen
I have been using this sunscreen for 7 years and I love it. It's my favorite sunscreen for my dry, sensitive, and acne prone skin. It's non-comedogenic, fragrance free, and only zinc oxide so it's not irritating, doesn't burn around the eyes, and doesn't break me out. I've tried many zinc oxide sunscreens and this one is hands down the best. It leaves very little white cast relative to most zinc oxide sunscreens. Many zinc oxide sunscreens claim to be sheer but it's a complete lie (looking at you Neutrogena Sheer Zinc). This one leaves a very sheer white cast that I think for most light to medium skin tone people wouldn't be an issue. If you have a deeper skin tone you might like their tinted options. Additionally this one does NOT pill or flake off like many zinc oxide sunscreens so you can easily reapply throughout the day, including over makeup, without the texture getting weird. The only complaint I have about this sunscreen is I hate how the volume is just large enough that it's not allowed through TSA in a carry-on. They should either reduce the size by 0.1 ounces or make it bigger so there's not as much plastic waste.

Best sunscreen for the face
My favourite sunscreen for my face - nice and creamy, so easy to put on and not sticky, so very comfortable. Also, very good protection from the sun.

I like Cotz skin tone SPF 40 but I needed a ...
I like Cotz skin tone SPF 40 but I needed a non tinted formula too. I love the fact if u rub this in well it doesn't leave a white cast and I'm white/black carribbean, so I have dark skin. The reason I have not gave this product more stars is because it makes your skin look greasy.. That's if u put a decent amount on and with sunscreen if u want decent protection u need to put a decent amount on!

Waste product
Very greasy oily texture๐คจ

Thick and grimy
It is expensive. Caused me to break out in spots ( and a pasty white face once the cream is on). It goes on rather like thick stage make-up and one has to rub quite firmly to distribute it into something "colourless" .
