Antique Reproduction Heart Padlock with 2 Skeleton Keys INsideOUT by Upper Deck

I love this lock!!! The best part about it (besides it's great medieval looks is that it appears to be handmade. It had a little sticker that said 'India'. If someone handmade this like it appears to be, my hat is off to them, it's a great little design and great craftsmanship. The only problem with the lock, which this was just a very slight cosmetic issue was the the rivets were not bucked very well on the backside. They are functional and work fine, they just don't look that good on the backside. I'm a stickler for that kind of stuff and I would not let that stop you from buying this cool lock. It's a good purchase and looks great on my daughter's cabinet that I made!

I purchased a two of these for use in a wedding ceremony and it had the exact effect I'd hoped.As it seems many other buyers are familiar with (based on their pictures), some romantic touristy spots attract lovers' padlocks. I've seen a variation where the couple has two locks (representing the two individuals) interlocked on the fence or gate or whatever metalwork. I drew inspiration from that when I wanted to do something less cliched for the unity symbol than unity candles, unity sand, etc. I used these as 'unity locks', and when the two were locked together, we them hung them on, I kid you not, a wrought iron banana hook stand :). 10 years later, those locks are still hanging from their stand in our home.What made this product perfect for the job is it's big enough to still clearly be heart-shaped to wedding guests seated a little farther away, but it's not so big that it's unwieldy or oppressively heavy. The vintage metal appearance is great too, not only for style but also adding nicely to our unity symbolism (a la standing the test of time).Anyway, I can't say I've tested the lock mechanisms more than a few times just to make sure it was more than just a decoration but would actually perform our fairly limited needs. But again, it gets style points, it looks and feels hefty enough without being too much, the price is right, and the memento is holding up 10 years later.

I purchased this for a trip to CA so my husband and I could leave a "love lock" at Pier 39 for our anniversary. It had some grease on it (probably to keep the lock lubed) so just be careful opening the package. The lock worked perfectly, but does need a hard turn of the key. Super sturdy and cute. The lock is also a really good size.

The locks are very vintage and very sturdy. Was just larger than I thought. That was my fault for not reading the size. I am using these locks for my wedding ceremony. Just a heads up to anyone doing the same. These locks are about the size of my hand.

I ordered this item for my husband for our sixth anniversary, which is traditionally marked by iron and or sugar. It arrived safely and was packaged well. It came with two keys which is nice because we could each keep one (perfect for us, because we often have months of separation at a time). We have a tradition of placing our gifts around our house and this one looks great on it’s on the shelf. I have no complaints about this product because it is clearly meant to be Nostalgic or used as symbolism.

This rustic lock is much better quality than expected and is an excellent value for the money. I am using this a custome chest being made as a gift for wife and has the look I was hoping for.The lock is functional but likely not as secure as a modern lock.Highly Recommended!CFH

Sharp edges .key is off center ...it locks .looks good from a picture. Not so good quality but cool to look at.not a good lock to use for a real lock.

Used this for our unity ceremony at our wedding. The lock came with a bit of residue or oil on it, and the lock can be finicky to unlock. But the price was right, the coloring is very appealing and looks antiqued, and its a nice statement size! It comes with two keys which was perfect for our photo opp throwing the keys into a lake outside our ceremony venue!
