Amazing product for the Price!
I am a professional video production artist. I regularly work with RED Dragon cameras that cost 30k a pop, Jibs, Dollys, and some of the best video equipment in the field. I just wanted to buy a cheap steadicam rig that would work for my iphone and go pro, and be easy to adjust quickly on shoots. This product works so well! With some practice, you can really learn how to "guide" the camera as if its floating along invisible dolly tracks where ever you walk. It does take a little time to get used to balancing the rig and operating it, but once you get it down this thing REALLY performs. Also, I bought this when it was selling for $119, so I must of got a good deal or something. The thing I like about it the most is how fast it is to adjust the balace with the red knobs....THIS IS KEY, when your on an expensive videoshoot and every second counts....This is really where the Steadicam beats the competition. That said, I think I do need an additional weight for the go pro hero 4 to be able to counterswing the camera forward; i think the go pros are a bit light for the rig. Also, the gimble looks a bit flimsy, but it is holding up so far and BOY IS THIS RIG SMOOTH!!!!

Worth the money? Probably not, but it does make your footage better...
After spending some time with this device I am ready to write a review. For the money, I like it. It has some flaws in the design, but I don't think you will find a better device for the money.Quality of footageWith this device you will be looking at a big improvement in the quality of your footage. There is a slight tendency for the device to bobble from side to side right from the factory when you are walking, which would mean the device is bottom heavy.'Ease of setup:This is really the part where the smoothee shines. You can attach your gopro to the device, and center it with the little thumbscrew in seconds.Quality of build:In this area, I would give it only two stars as it broke within a week of owning it, and had to buy a 24 dollar replacement part from Amazon....Summary:I would buy it again, even though it broke on me. It is one of, if not the most handy way to help stabilize your GoPro video when walking. I would like to see some parts be made of all metal, but it is what it is...To see what part broke, and for a more detailed review including footage shot with this device as compared to another brand, go to this linkhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b7qLYv1ca8

One star is too much!
this item is practically useless. Apart from it taking way too much time to get used to it, the slightest breeze (and I'm talking about hardly making a flame flicker) will send the camera into a spin. Do NOT buy if you are not a pro or willing to put way too much time in mastering it! This is my first post in 10 Amazon years. This item is THAT Bad!

Good product, but not structurally robust
Worked fine, but didn't survive a simple fall; the pin holding the handle and the bearing snapped.

It's not the Steadicam's fault
It worked very well, but I didn't get the results I was expecting. Truthfully, this wasn't an issue with the Steadicam. The steadicam performed well and was amazingly portable and sturdy for traveling throughout Europe and Africa. It did a pretty good job of stabilizing the footage especially keeping in mind that GoPros can easily become unbearably shaky. The problem was how the fisheye lens of the GoPro looked with this. This stabilizer allowed me to get a smoothness of footage that added a more professional touch, but when watching the videos, there I was gliding down the streets of Oxford while buildings curved around me at all sorts of impossible angles. It looked like a scene straight out of Inception.I quickly realized that a GoPro really isn't the tool to be using to create a cinematic feel. However, if you are out in the open, with minimal disturbance on the left and right peripherals of your view, then it can work decently well.In conclusion, this product works as expected and just feels quality to touch. Just remember that GoPros are meant to be action cameras and you might be disappointed with the results if you are relying only on it to capture precious memories. You'd be better off mounting your phone or saving up for an actual camcorder and stabilizer. Save the GoPro for its intended purpose: for action.

Works Great
Since there aren't a lot of 3-axis gimbals on the market for GoPros, this is a great next option. It does a little getting used to and certainly requires a soft touch, but it works brilliantly.

Not worth the money.
It works ok. Not worth the money though. It gives more of a floaty feel vs. A steady feel.

Spins around in the slightest wind.
Unusable. In the slightest wind it spins around unless I lock it with my thumb which makes it just as shaky as if I hold the phone without the Steadicam. Completely useless in my opinion.
