This is the second bottle I have ordered for my husband. We both like the lovely manly, clean smell and it makes his beard lovely and soft.

I love the smell of sandalwood, and pre growing a beard, I loved loading up my badger-hair brush with Taylors Sandalwood shaving soap for a straight-razor shave. So it’s nice to get that scent on my face again now that I’ve not shaved in a couple of years. That said, I’m not fully convinced that this oil is actually doing anything for my beard. It still feels as dry and scraggy as it did before I started using the oil, and I’ve noticed that I’ve started getting a lot of acne erupting beneath the beard - a sign that it’s at least making my skin oily. I’ll stick with it until it’s finished, just to see if there’s any cumulative conditioning effect - mainly because that scent wins me over. I’m also giving it 4 stars rather than 3 purely because ending the day and still catching a whiff of sandalwood as I drift off to sleep is worth it for the relaxation effect alone!

I bought this as a replacement for Viking Revolution Sandalwood beard oil, which seems tricky to get. I opened it, sniffed it and immediately thought, wow, this smells incredibly sweet. But maybe it will smell different on my face. So I tried it. Let's just say that my partner said it was revolting so I went to the bathroom and washed it off asap. Needless to say this went in the bin and I won't be buying again. Each to their own I guess, but for me, this smells nothing like sandalwood.

Doesn't smell anything like sandalwood and the smell is so overwhelming

They didn't state all their ingredients on the ingredients list. Only until I got the package, I found out they also include linalool, benzyl benzoate, limonene and citronellal. After one application, I endured severe itching. The scent is unpleasant and extremely strong. It lingers for hours and ended up giving me a headache. This is far from natural and I can only imagine what these extra additives are doing to my skin (probably drying it up and making it worse). Won't be buying this ever again.

Tried this beard oil for a change from my normal one I use. Whilst the initial smell is ok the scent after a while makes your beard smell like a fusty shed that's been shut up for several years. It also made my beard itchy. Will stick to using a different product.

Excellent beard oil with a fantastic sandalwood scent I've been using this beard oil for about three weeks now (I've applied it four times so far), and I wanted to wait before writing a review so I could give an honest opinion based on actual use. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It's a great blend of warm sandalwood with a rich, masculine aroma that's also smooth and slightly sweet. It's noticeable without being overpowering, and I find myself looking forward to using it. The oil absorbs well and leaves both my beard and the skin underneath feeling moisturized, healthy, and soft. It also gives my beard a subtle, healthy-looking shine without making it feel greasy. I've been using it together with Rocky Mountain Barber Company's Sandalwood Beard Balm, and the two products complement each other perfectly. Since I started using them together, several friends have commented on how much healthier and better groomed my beard looks, which tells me the products are doing exactly what they're supposed to do. In fact, just last night during one of my band's rehearsals, a few of the guys commented on how good my beard and shave looked. It was a nice confidence boost, especially since I hadn't mentioned I had changed anything in my grooming routine. After getting home around midnight following a very long day, I realized this morning that this product deserved a review while the experience was still fresh in my mind. I'm so pleased with this company's Sandalwood line that I also own their shaving cream, aftershave, beard balm, and this beard oil. Every product I've tried has exceeded my expectations. The only one I'm still waiting to try is their pre-shave oil, which is currently unavailable. As soon as it's back in stock, I'll be ordering it. Overall, this has been an excellent purchase. If you're looking for a quality beard oil that smells fantastic, keeps your beard well-conditioned, and pairs beautifully with the matching beard balm, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

I really enjoy Rocky mountain Barber beard oil the scents are really nice I love the sandalwood scented beard oil but I wish they would sell the bamboo scented beard oil that's that's also my favorite the oils are very moisturizing for my thick curly dry beard I would highly recommend these products AND PLEASE MAKE THE BAMBOO BEARD OIL ALSO AVAILABLE ON AMAZON

I have a short trimmed beard and live in a humid environment, so I cannot comment on moisturizing properties as a beard oil because I didn't have issues before trying this product. However, the scent is great. A very clean smooth masculine scent perfect for out-of-the-shower. Just need a few drops on your palms and rub in. The scent lasts a couple hours at best but it does make a great fragrance and brings new life as a layer to your colognes. I bought a 1oz bottle then a week later bought another one because I really like it.

Initially I was a bit sceptical about the sandalwood scent as it is a very strong scent that can smell off and unappealing to most. However, after trying this one out I am now a huge fan of the scent. The oil comes with the dropper bottle where it’s kept in limited contact to air and outside contaminants; thus, keeping the oil clean and fresh and potent. The scent is quite strong as I am expecting but after using this for sometime I took quite the liking to it. I usually use this on my beard when i'm staying in at home as not to offend anyone at work. This oil keeps my beard nourished, healthy and strong. I also noticed my beard growth has increased with thick robust lucks. I strongly recommend this to anyone wanting a full healthy beard. Note - For work I opt for the cedar scent as it's easier on the nose and most people tend to appreciate the scent more. Also as a proud and patriotic Canadian I recommend Rocky Mountain Barber Company for making authentic well made products with natural ingredients for men. I recommend this product. iNiko

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He had bought this maybe two years ago and loved it, so I picked up one for Christmas for his stocking. The scent now is much stronger and lingers most of the day. When we had purchased it before it would disappear after an hour or so. The scent also comes across a little artificial and he smells like an incense stick. The oil itself though works well and is moisturizing. The bottle purchased a few years ago was a better formulation.
