Good fold away seat
Having previously had a full racing seat setup in the lounge - sold to the wife on basis of "of course it will blend with the furniture" and being told to put it on eBay as it very much did not blend with anything , I was looking to find a better compromise .This is exactly that - Offers enough stability for steering wheel (G29) and for me (40 something fat Dad) plus 11 year old boy . it folds away like a deck chair essentially .The foldaway is sufficient that it will go in a cupboard ( if you could put a deck chair in there) and saves on any domestic conversations that start along the lines of "What the **** is that and it needs to go"Well constructed , straightforward to put together and holding up well thus far .

What's not to like?
I bought it as a present for my partner, he absolutely loves it. He finds it very comfortable even for long playing, perfectly adjustable for his long arms and legs. It's also handy for being foldable, fits behind a door that's usually kept open anyway. It's not cheap but for someone who really loves playing it's worth investing, especially if you don't have a separate room to fit a more expensive fixed play chair. We use it in the living room connected to PS and setup with a thrustmaster 150. The cat loves it too...

Fantastic gaming chair
All I can say is that this seat is absolutely fantastic. Got mine set up last night, and the difference it makes when gaming is unbelievable. The seat is really comfortable, and the adjustment available to you is pretty much infinite, I can see this being a good fit for anyone to be honest. Bear in mind I'm 5' 10" and 18 stone and it fits me perfectly. The whole thing is just quality, the seat is well padded and stitched and the finish is excellent.Once your sat in it, with the wheel and pedals attached it is absolutely rock solid. I'm surprised how firm it is when driving to be honest, as it's so lightweight and looks like it could flex a bit, but once everything's fixed in position, there's absolutely no movement. I'm currently using it with a G29, and managed about 3 hours last night on GT Sport in one sitting, without a single ache. I used to use a wheel stand before, but there really is no comparison, this is in a different league. If your on the fence about this or just a stand, as someone who's owned both I simply wouldn't bother with a stand at all now. The major selling point for me as well was how it folds up with everything attached, so not only do I not have to break everything down and then re-arrange the living room when I'm finished gaming, it keeps the wife happy 'cos it's all tucked out of the way in a cupboard now.

Great seat, comfy and dream for gamers
Bought this as I have been eyeing up a racing seat for yonks! Some have said it takes a long time to build, but for me it only took 30mins and was very simple and easy to do. Instructions were clear enough and to be honest you don't really need to follow them to build it, it's that simple.Seat is comfy to play in for a long while, I've played for a good 2hr and a half in one session and only stopped as the wife wanted to go out :pPaired with the thrustmaster t300 and f1 wheel add-on and playing F1 2017 is makes for a great experience! It would be nice if it folded up a bit more, as it is quite bulky and does take up a bit of room.

Playseat Challenge will break if you weigh over 85kg / 187lbs
This is a review of Playseat Challenge.Broken after one year.Buy cheap, buy twice. I have had this chair for just over a year with moderate use as a sim racing chair and heavy use as a gaming chair. Its rare that i found myself folding it up, instead moving it out the way or using it as a gaming chair rather than sitting on the sofa. I am 6 foot 2 so have to have it set relatively low to the ground to compensate and weigh around 88 kilos / 190 pounds and I assume that getting in and out of it has slowly bent the frame, eventually leading to its collapse.Although its comfortable to sit in it is still pretty awkward to get in and out of and it is REALLY creaky and noisey when you move around so if you are using a mic on games (maybe you arent just planning to sim race in this) then it will be very annoying for other people who you are speaking to and it just makes the thing look and sound cheap with its deck-chair like quality.Given the money again to start over, i would probably try a combination of a gaming chair and something like a game roker rig to slide in front of it, or just use a desk. Especially if this is your only budget. If you are REALLY into your sim racing I would seriously consider increasing your budget and getting a proper rig.Another thing worth mentioning is that the official gearstick mount adapter doesnt work either, so i have essentially wasted my money on that and the shifter too (got the shifter in a bundle and have never been able to use it). This chair is not worth the money in the long run. All positive reviews are probably from people in the short term and i think when you get it and hear how cheap it sounds and see that it nearly falls over when you put the wheel mount to the open position you try to justify the purchase just because it is foldable and cheaper than the more serious kit. With the wheel and pedals still attached the fact that it is foldable really isnt that great and I think if you dont have a the space you are better off staying on the sofa or sitting at a desk. The only real positive is that it is more comfortable than it looks (when you are sat still and not trying to get in and out of it) and it can fit in a delivery box much smaller than better rigs can come in - which might save on money on delivery or space when you lock it in solitary confinement for dashing your dreams of an affordable rig that doesnt disappoint. Oh and the wheel and pedals fit on it okay (logitech g920) and these were pretty easy to adjust. However this seat in reality doesnt really have a place in the market. Its not robust or easy to get in and out of as a gaming chair and its not got the capabilities and quality feel of a proper racing chair either. If you dont mind something that cost you 200 pounds looking so cheap, are on a budget and also ultra light enough to stop it creaking and bending, dont ever think you will want to use a stick shift or rally sequential shift and HAVE to have a seat that folds then maybe, just maybe this seat will do.If not keep your money. Or save more up for a better option.
