Price is right,tested water proof ability with garden spray from hose it needs help with seemsealer at the point where the tree strap meets the hammock body ,some leakage comes down from strap but I think its an easy fix if your handy.So for the money you get .....#1 waterproof hammock to sleep in (when fixed)#2 summer hammock to nap in #3 a seat to sit in vs. carrying in a separate chair in with you #4 if you have a tent you can use this to store your gear in, keeping it dry and off the ground #5 the color is really decent for semi stealth camping (better than blue ,yellow,red,etc...like some other hammocks #6 construction quality is decent ....so it can work well for you in a lot of areas ,of course there are great hammocks out there for 1,2,3 three times the money ,but this is decent at this price point ,but even the little bit of water I experienced is to much ,so you have to put a little work into it ,but that is very normal for a lot of gear you have modify,maintain,fix etc...so anyhow I would reccomend it to a lot of people ,maybe not the diehard hammock or die ,gram counting types ,but general hikers .That is all....thank you. 😈

I took this out shortly after receiving it. I spent 3 nights in it and give it 4.5 stars (round up). I like that it has the mesh to keep bugs out and a cover to turn it into a bivy. I used it as a hammock but it should work fine on the ground if needed. It did not rain so I cannot comment on the waterproofing. The only complaint is the straps. They could have been looped or had a better way to attach it. I will rig it up and use a pair of tree straps I have. Overall I really enjoyed using it.

Bought this for a hiking campout, and used it several times. It's very comfortable, but you need to have a good distance between the trees or your going to slouch. It worked well in the rain, and is very compact. I recommend it for those who hike/camp.Update mid 2014. Still using this on campouts, and it's still doing the job. I consider this one of my top purchases for camping gear. It has also increased my comfort, sleeping on the ground was killing my back, this makes for a comfortable night.

You wont find a better deal than this on a waterproof hammock tent. The design is simple and it works. It is also big enough for a large camper, I'm 6'5" and 250lbs and I fit in it will plenty of room. There are some reviews on Youtube of this that talk about the waterproof issues, but these seem to have been fixed. There are also very generous hanging straps attached. It would be wise to attach a few drip cords to each end to help with rain.

It looks like it will work for what I wanted. Have not tried it as a hammock yet

No....it leaked when it rained. Very disappointed.
