This is a nice, simple stand. It doesn't try to do anything fancy just do its job, which is to to be a monitor riser. The metal top part is painted a matt black (in my case) and the legs are made from a thick plastic - needed to support the maximum weight.There are 3 different heights available to set the riser to and, even on the top setting, the riser is very steady. No wobbling around like some other risers I have had in the past. There are pads for the bottom of the legs to stop it sliding around the desk when knocked.While it doesn't take up a lot of space on the desk top, there is a little bit of space available beneath the stand to store small items. Obviously if you have the stand on the top height setting you can get larger items underneath it.

Solid, easy to erect and functional. Right adjustment makes it suitable for all desk and user heights. Ventilation holes keep the laptop cool and stop the fan kicking in, like it does sat on a solid surface. Plus give a little extra space underneath, so desk looks instantly tidier

Great for my travel monitor whilst working from home. Legs are sturdy and give me the right height needed for my monitor. I should have read the previous reviews properly as I would have opted for a stand with foldable legs to put it away after each day, but for the price it’s a want rather than essential. Otherwise very pleased with the product

Been using this for a while now and it’s been great. Good quality, feels solid and doesn’t wobble. There’s enough space underneath to slide in my laptop which keeps the desk looking a lot cleaner.It’s a small thing but actually makes a big difference to the setup. For the price, it’s 100 percent value for money. Does exactly what you need it to do without overcomplicating anything.Would definitely recommend if you want a simple, sturdy monitor riser.

This simple design has produced a crackerjack stand.It only takes a minutes to assemble and without any tools.And it's solid, sturdy and has (3) three levels to choose from.At its maximum height, the stand is just over 5 inches in height.Ant - skid rubber pads prevent slipping / damage to work surface.The platform also has vent holes which stops anything overheating.And its sleek modern black - design makes it looks truly outstanding.I am delighted with this product and the price too!!And would recommend it to others.

Often difficult to tell with these items if they are going to stand up to regular use. This item is really very good for the price, with the top itself a powder coated metal sheet with holes (very effective cooling), and the legs being reasonably solid plastic (maybe ABS or similar). It's good quality with a nicely rounded dropped edge all the way around. The legs extend as described and the release/lock springs are really very nicely made. There are some rubberized pads to stick on the base of the legs - again, decent material.The only cautionary note to sound is that the plastic legs have to screw on to the metal threads to attach to the top, and if you don't take care to line these up, the legs will be misaligned and the metal will probably damage the plastic threads easily. However, take a little bit of care with this, and the legs do screw on very firmly, resulting in a really solid riser.At full extension of the legs, a monitor on this stand would probably be just a bit too unstable. And if you are planning on typing on the laptop, then I think spend more and obtain a proper laptop stand, though it would be ok at the lowest extension (about 7cm). However I use this for a laptop plugged in to a docking station with a separate keyboard. It raises the laptop monitor to eye level and it is perfect for that.

This is great. It's so easy to put together and adjusting the height is a breeze. It's a good size and because of the height adjustment there's room to store items underneath. It's holding my 27inch monitor with no problems and looks good.

Works well for me as I have a small surface area to work with my laptop. Keeps it from burning itself up on my flat wooden desk surface. Simple to put together and it just works!
