I recently installed solar on my RV and the Voltworks inverter I installed came with a wired remote that would have required a rather large hole to be put in the wall in order to mount it there. This box fixed that problem. I was able to drill a half-inch hole in the wall (just big enough to get the wire and connector through), then mount this box to the wall over it and then screw the remote's faceplate to this box.The dimensions listed in the ad don't specify how far apart the two screw holes are that would be used to screw a faceplate to. For anyone wondering about that, they are 60mm apart (approx. 2.4 inches).
