Q: Is this good for a 22 year old grey?

I took in a 20 year old Umbrella Cockatoo who is now almost 24. She was on seeds and cheap big bag bird food. I knew pellets were much more healthy and I tried to find one she would eat. This brand she liked the best. Even the more expensive ones she didn’t care for. She’s been eating these now for almost four years. She is more energetic and all around healthier. When I got her she was very lethargic and didn’t have any energy. Also the first pellets of this brand I bought was the one with the Cockatoo on the front label. It is a bigger pellet. But she didn’t seem to like that one as much as this one that is a smaller pellet. So I’ve just stuck with this one. She eats it as her food and she gets extra treats also like almonds in the shell, parrot biscuits, dehydrated banana chips, sunflower seeds in her treat cup and Lafeber’s treat seed balls. She likes the spicy pepper ones. And of course she gets some fruit. I can only get her to eat apples so far. And I haven’t been able to get her to eat veggies. So the pellets are really important for her health. She also gets some of what I’m eating like eggs, cheese and meats which she loves. She talks up a storm and seems very happy now.

Q: What is the use by or expiration date shown on the lid of the pellets being sold?

I assume this is the "sell by" date.

Q: Not sure which version to feed a Caique

The daily diet shown above, the parrot pellets are a good size for your bird. They arent really big and are perfect size pellets for Caique to hold and eat. http://lafeber.com/pet-birds/species/caique/

These might be a bit big for a parrotlet. They are cylindrical in shape, about 1/8" in diameter and most are 1/4" long with some 1/2" long. I will say I've found these to be the only brand of pellets my DYH Amazon really likes.
