Updating my below review of this towel after using it on holiday!As expected the towel covered the full sun lounger on holiday, dried quickly, sand fell off it easily and folded back into its small bag every time with ease!The rest of the family were all so impressed with it that they are all now getting them too!Original review below:Not used this on holiday yet but first impressions of this towel are brilliant.Ordered the XL as I'm quite tall and even knowing it folds small was very impressed with how small the package was! Even more pleasantly surprised when I opened it out and it was taller than me!As someone who hates sand getting everywhere, the size alone even without the sand repelling side of it will be great! Also having the whole sunbed covered rather than all but the last foot or so is going to be nicer.Using this on holiday next month and then for travelling later in the year so will update if anything changes then!

I bought two of these in extra large for an upcoming long haul beach trip. One in blue and one in yellow.I've used small microfibre towels before so knew what to expect. . .These from Dock and Bay are very nice indeed. Quite pricey I would say - but worth it!The manufacturing quality is very good. Lovely smooth flawless textile and the stitched edges are finished really well. Colours are vibrant and they'll look great on the beach/poolside.Microfibre ain't no bathtowel - it will dry you adequately but that's not the main purpose of these for me! These weigh 500g/half a kilo including their pouch. Given their size 200cm x 90cm - that isn't bad at all! So you get your own little bit of beach measuring 2x1 meters - ish!They also dry really quick and 'repel' sand. No more sand butties for me then! Just shake them in somebody else's direction. Then point to the sea shouting shark.I've added a few pics to show real life colour and size against a local theatre programme booklet and it's dead easy to repack in it's pouch!Really like this one. A decent purchase which will be used for many holidays to come.

I did not like the feel of this - it was more like a tablecloth. It came in a fancy bag which must justify the high price. I have other cheaper ones which are much softer. I am returning and unfortunately have to pay £3.99 to return this item leaving me out of pocket. I could not find this information when I bought it otherwise I wouldn't have!

Took a while to get use to, but I do love my microfibre towel! I wouldn’t call it a towel more like a sheet or a chamois cloth! Don’t expect it to be a fluffy towel! But it does work fantastically!! Use it as my gym towel, fits in my gym bag and doesn’t take up much room! It does dry me quickly and dries up quickly too when hung out to dry!

Great holiday towel. Impressive performance, dries you quickly, and dries itself quickly. A mandatory purchase in these days of restricted luggage allowance.

Size XL. I originally bought this because I love a huge towel. I hate wee silly ones and this was the biggest one I could find through thourough searching.I did think I’m not going to like this but I’d suck it up anyway. However I was wrong, very very wrong!! This towel is fabulous. Get out the shower and wrap up and where a normal towel would become heavy with the weight of water off of the body and hair this doesn’t. It remains light, and super absorbent.Ive found a towel that I genuinely love and like the feel of too. I’m more into the sensory feel of things than how they look etc. So this for me is a winner winner.At the end of the month I’m going to purchase around 4 more as they will be fabulous for when away in motorhome and drying items is longer than would be at home.Amazing product, and I’m delighted at the product.

It was like trying to dry yourself with a cardboard box, Washed as per instructions before first use and in fairness it does try to prepare you that this is not like your usual towel! but I tried it a few times and it is just not for me, I could not get on with it. It does fold up small and the quality seems good, but as a beach towel, I think I'll stick to a good old fashioned one.

Love it. Perfect for backpacking. Light weight and dries very quick. Bought two and just came back from two weeks holiday where they were used every day, the colours didn't run after the machine wash so far so good
