Great light - matches my old bulbs well - plus these should last a lot longer 👍

They're very warm (yellowish) so they don't cause any harsh, blinding effect in my cut glass lamp. I'm very pleased. But they are not for reading or functional illumination. They're great for mood lighting only.

Used this in a Christmas village house and it’s better than the original light was. It’s the only kind I’ll use from now on. No bright pinpoint of light,but not dull. The effect is easy on the eye and the color is warm ambiance. Old fashioned golden toned.

They are just ever so slightly too bright for window type Christmas candles but I used them anyway. Also, you cannot use these with light sensing auto off type of candles, they will flash light a strobe light. If you have regular plug in candles or need them for a nightlight they are perfect. Gave them 4 stars due to the flickering problem.

These little Christmas sized light bulbs are very bright for only a .5 watt output. It looks like a bright little candle light. Under the shade it is dimmer but it will light up the bathroom adequately at full night from an over head light with a night light socket. I only needed one but bought 5 as spares due to the price of the box set. Good value for the price and it's an LED so I estimated that it should last for 5 to 8 years (50,000 hours) due to its use of 10 to 12 minutes per day and low .5 watt output.

Like several other reviewers, I have window candles in my windows year-round - nearly 20. I’ve spent over 15 years running around replacing burned out incandescent bulbs every few months at a cost of about $80 per year for the bulbs alone. I didn’t know that LED bulbs existed for standard window candles that produced a bright and soft white light until my neighbor, an architect, recommended these after I complimented him on the lights in his windows. These are indistinguishable from incandescent and I would say produce a more attractive light. Note that they are smaller than your typical window candle bulb - think night light - but it makes no difference in the brightness of the light. I have the 8 hour timer variety window candles so that the bulbs don’t burn for 14 hours in the winter. When my incandescent bulbs would burn out, I had to be home to replace them at the same time that I wanted them to turn on. I’ll need to do the same with these, but they will burn out many, many more months later but I’ll write back with my experience. Finally, If you add the considerable energy savings of LED, you hit a home run with these bulbs.Update: Going on 3 years and haven’t had to replace a single bulb. Dump your incandescent window candle bulbs - this is the only way to go if you want to save time and money.

These 0.5 watt led lights are much better than regular incandescent 5 watt bulbs.
