Perfect for the job
Soft to the touch, this mat allows water to go through it so it allows shoes to wipe easily.However, the rain collects under it so after rain it needs lifting to allow the step underneath to dry out.Beware, there are two types. I bought outdoor one which has no backing. The indoor one looks the same and is cheaper but different.Pleased with purchase.

Good solution to our front door, this mat does not hold moisture and efficiently brushes off loose dirt and grit. It does not dry footwear, but we have an absorbent mat inside our porch for this.Very pleased with it.
