I bought this magnet so my gun could be with me secured in my car while I'm out and about. At first I was considering mounting it under my steering wheel column, but decided against it. Paranoid someone would see it and steal it. Instead I found my pistol and the magnet were the perfect size to fit in my center arm rest storage. When the lid is lifted up, my pistol swings up with it held firmly in place and is easily grabbed and ready to go. The magnet blew me away, I was skeptical at first before I tried it. But as soon as it snapped onto my gun I knew it was high quality USA made. I strongly recommended this is you are looking to conceal carry a pistol in your vehicle, it can be mounted virtually anywhere you can fit it. Easy to install as well, all hardware needed was included in the package. Probably going to by more and mount spots in my house for other guns.

Great idea for being able to have a weapon near by. I've installed one under a table, on the wall and in other places around my home.Strong, reliable, and handy as hell!!Won't scratch your weapon and holds my full size Glock .45 with mag quite easily.Update: I would avoid using this kind of mount in my vehicle due to the fact that if you are in a collision or have to stop quickly, the G forces can rip the gun off the magnet and toss it around your vehicle. The best for a vehicle is an actual holster.

OMG, Love this !!! My husband installed the magnet at the base of the steering column in my car and it works like a champ!! We have bumpy roads in Oklahoma but my Glock stays put. It is low enough that you cannot see the gun if I leave the car but close enough that I can easily grab ahold of my weapon when I am in the drivers seat. I am going to get one for everyone in the family - what a great stocking stuffer !!

I mounted this on the side of my bed's wooden rail and use it to secure my Springfield XD .45 full size on it. The magnet is strong enough to keep it in place but not to strong that i have to struggle trying to get the gun loose. It's a quick draw if i need it to be and placed on the wooden rail that no one knows its even there. I absolutely love this thing and going to get another one to mount under my coffee table, great product if you want to strategically mount your firearms around the house.

First the good: very strong magnets (3) and Made in USA. The bad: One major flaw exists. The magnets are mounted flush in an anodized aluminum bar. This allows for mounting to flat surfaces. However, sadly the aluminum bar has fairly sharp edges and no plastic coating to prevent scraping up your pistol. I fixed this flaw by wrapping the bar in 3M electrical tape prior to mounting. 1 layer is sufficient. Voila! Will hold strong and not scratch your pistols slide etc. You could also dip it in urethane. Once cured, this would be ideal as a solution.

I bought one and set it up under a table. Keeps a full size gun (sig 226) flat under the table but the gun drops down when a 10 rd mag is inserted. The weight of the gun with mag + rds won't keep the gun flat but the handle will drop down. Gun still holds but it's not as concealed.

Surprisingly strong magnet. Holds my fully loaded glock 17 and requires some serious force to pull it away. I know my weapon will not get knocked off or fall off on accident.It comes with an adhesive rubber strip that sticks to the magnet so it doesn’t scratch your weapon, very nice touch.The magnet is the perfect length to fit between the front and rear sights of my glock 17.
