Civil Engineering FE Exam Preparation Workbook 2nd ed. Edition

This book is great. But it’s way harder than the actual FE exam. So please don’t be discouraged. I took the FE exam few days ago and find this book harder, but it’s better to practice with hard question.

Prepared for the FE using this book and I passed. This book helps you to understand the exam and how to navigate the reference manual. If you have been out of school for a few years, I would recommend going over the basics before starting with this book.

Useful guide but you need more than just this book to pass the exam

This prep book not only prepares you for the exam, it gives you confidence to enter the exam ready to slay it. As a professor, I also act as an academic advisor. I have stacks of these exam books. Some are good, some are fair ... and some, like this one, are fantastic. I always show these to my advisees and insist that they invest in them because they offer great sample questions, and even provide explanations. All of those aspects are invaluable.What I really like with this edition is that you get an exam sheet to bubble in and then the answers are provided later. I've never seen a prep book that does that ... pretty handy! And, I really like how this text prepares you for trickier answers like the old "Which one of these is INCORRECT" ... that's a great type of question to be on alert for!This is a fairly condensed volume. It can successfully be explored over a period of a few days and then used repeatedly to instill more challenging concepts. A genuinely great prep text!

Do not buy it! it has so many mistake!

I think this can be a great tool for those in this subject. I ordered it just because I always love learning anything new and I wanted to read and learn what I could. At first it looked so over my head, math is my worst subject but I love that this guides you through solving the problems and has the answers in the back! So anyone can definitely use this to study and learn. Tons of information.

As somebody who has already passed their Civil FE exam, I got this book as sort of a refresher to keep my mind sharp and it delivers on that 100%.This book’s practice exams and solutions will be tremendous help to anybody who is studying for the FE civil exam. You can use the FE Reference handbook from the NCEES website in conjunction with these exams for a simulation of what the FE exam will be like. Then you can check your answers and see solutions for all of the problems.Would definitely recommend to anybody studying for the FE Civil Exam. I would not recommend this being your only study material, but it is an excellent supplement in addition to other materials.
