Fantastic quality and cooks very well. From my usage, the food has never got overburnt, so that is good. I would have given 5* if there were more instant / prefixed setups for top choice of dishes. I had been watching for a lower priced Instant Pot air fryer for a few weeks and finally ordered a discounted returned Instant Vortex Plus 6 in 1 air fryer. Best thing I`ve done for a quite a while! It was delivered on schedule just yesterday. After a good soapy warm water clean and an hour of dry time (I didn`t wash the control panel) - I plugged it in without any food in it, and yes there was plastic odor, let it heat up to 380 for 5 minutes, then shut it off, pulled the pan out, set in aside for 6 hours. Then ran it again empty 2 times, pulled the pan and let it all cool. Not much odor at that point. Then made toast. All good. Then put 4 frozen pork chops in and set on air fry 350 for 10 minutes, Then raised temperature to 380 for 15 minutes. Checking at several intervals to make sure they were not burning, and flipped them half way through. The result was perfectly delicious chops. And so easy clean up. Wipe and rinse. I am used to the controls on an Instapot presser cooker and find the air fryer controls simple and easy to adjust. By the way, this is the 3d air fryer I have had. This one is by far the best ever. Highly recommend this appliance.

I've had a T-Fal unit for years and decided it was finally time to upgrade. I had a friend who had this unit and swore by it so I thought I'd give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with some key differences: - precise temperature and timer settings (my old ones just had 2 mechanical knobs) - super easy to clean - large basket - very even heat, large pieces of food gets evenly browned - heats up quickly Some things I don't love: - the display never turns off, it will display OFF unless you leave the basket slightly out - as others have said, it smells really bad when new and takes a few uses before the smell goes away. I even heated it up a few times with no food in it for it to off-gas.. I recommend putting it outdoors and letting it run a few half hour cycles to get rid of the smell - lots of audible beeping, i means lots.. it beeps when you turn it on, beeps when it gets to temp, beeps when the timer runs down, beeps again to remind you there's food in the basket

After some careful consideration, I opted to purchase the Instant Pot 6 qt Vortex plus air fryer. This air fryer was an excellent choice to replace my previous one. I love how easy it is to use! The settings are simple and to the point. I have only had it a few weeks so I have only used it for air frying, but it is fast and efficient. The temperature settings are easy to use. It produces crispy food in no time. I love the non-stick coating, but I am using parchment liners to make clean up easy. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.
