This is worth the purchase
Purchased on my wife's account but I wanted to review this myself:I've wanted a home cockpit solution for a long time. Some way to get my peripherals off of my desk and, as a bonus, not wrench my steering wheel or shift knob from its clamp. To not have to hold my flight joystick in my lap and my throttle quadrant sitting on a homemade table. The OpenWheeler fits the bill and then some!I got the basic seat as well as the Civil Aviation configuration and the HOTAS configuration. Also added in the seat risers and the mount for my Buttkicker transducer.Everything came well and safely packaged and labeled at a level I don't think I've experienced before. The bags had each screw set for each possible setup clearly labeled and seperated from the other parts. Bags inside bags had labels. The labels all correspond with a brightly colored, well written instruction manual. There are tools for each part requiring assembly. Real tools that could go in my toolbox. As a bonus, some of the extra configurations required different tools. They were included too. There were tools to deal with 3rd party peripherals! You can literally lock yourself in an isolated room with your peripherals, open the box or boxes and have EVERYTHING you need to assemble anything you purchased without ever leaving that room.Assembly of all of that, by myself, took me about two hours but I was taking my time at it. The only fly in my ointment was trying to attach the seat back to the seat bottom. The holes just didn't want to line up. I eventually put the assembly on its side and was finally able to get everything where it was supposed to be. I think that was more a symptom of trying to do it by myself than any fault with the product, especially considering it hasn't had a single issue at that attachment point since I put it together. I think my only other gripe was with the instructions for assembling the HOTAS. It took me a little bit to realize that I had to remove a base plate from my Warthog throttle quadrant (that I didn't realize was there because I just thought that was the bottom of the throttle)For the assembly itself, the seat is very comfortable and adjustable. Just having the forward/back adjustment alone is awesome. Between the frame adjustments, seat adjustments... Heck, I can even recline the seat back like I do in my car. I've used this for both racing and flying. Its pretty easy to change out the peripherals as the whole thing is modular. Once you tighten it down, its solid as a rock. Racing with a FFB steering wheel, I can crank on the wheel, it can jump and buck all it likes... Solid as a rock. It is a game changer compared to having those things clamped to my desk. For flying, no Force Feedback there but... I can adjust every component to just the right height, just the right distance and, again, solid as a rock. It makes a big difference. The seller is extremely interested in the product and ensuring that the customer is getting outstanding customer support. I reached out to ask about the center mount for the joystick and mentioned that I was looking for another base plate for my joystick so I could switch between HOTAS and center mount easily and not have to disassemble the attachment plates every time. When the seller noticed I had ordered the center mount but had not replied to his answer to my questions, he took it upon himself to include in my order extra base plates as well as some knobs and very detailed instructions on how I could accomplish what I was trying to do. Upon hearing that one of my mounting plates appeared to be tilting and I wasn't sure why, he provided detailed information on what might be wrong, how to fix it and, if I can't fix it, stated he would replace it.The customer service is way above par. As a matter of fact, I can't say if I've ever dealt with a merchant that went that far out of their way to ensure that the customer is happy with their purchase. As I said in the title, I think this is worth the purchase. Not only for a solidly made product that does exactly everything that is advertised and does it very well, but because the customer service itself, the interest of the seller in the customer and the product is, bar none, the best I've ever seen. If you're on the fence, hop off of it. This is an excellent purchase you won't regret.

simply the best , is my 2nd setup from simfab / openwheeler - love it!
Short of paying 4x times this price (or more) , you will not find a better sim rig than this (openwheeler / simfab gen3 cockpit). Also another perfect use case for this - is for console gaming (ie FPS with a controler and monitor mounted to this rig, via a monitor arm) - it is very comfortable and a ergonomic console setup.(Important note, simfab and open Wheeler are the same company, just different names for the same product / company)The included instructions and packaging is among the best I've ever seen from any company. The instruction booklet is very clear and easy to follow, printed on high quality paper and in excellent quality color (you can also get a pdf of all their products instructions on their website). This company really goes above and beyond and stands behind their product at all levels.in my case i bought one of these about 3 years ago and use it for my xbox. I used a standard desk-mount monitor arm, attached to where you would put a racing wheel on this simfab rig (ie the pole/platform that comes up between your knees). Its super comfortable and ergonomic as every part is adjustable- im able to slide the chair front/back on its rails, and be right up on my monitor for FPS games (i have a 24" msi curved monitor on this setup -> xbox). The critical part is being able to get right close to the monitor so you can then adjust the seat back of the chair, as well as the slide the chair forward and back; allowing me to sit back against the chair and thus not have my neck and shoulders hunched over while playing Xbox. (ie is very ergonomic, so to avoid getting that hunched back / IT neck issues over time)This purchase (is my 2nd openwheeler cockpit) - it set it up for my PC based flight sim and racing rig. (i bought alot more accessories for it directly from simfab website, as they offer more items over there, and often at a better price). It's very easy for me to switch between my flight sim set up, and my racing setup. Simfab Has instructions and accessories available for each of these items specifically, as in the exact nuts and bolts and directions for how to mount each of these third party devices (ie the moza r5 wheel / pedals, the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, and my WinWing Skywalker/Orion rudders). I also bought their excellent Monitor/TV stand (also great).note- i dont have a photo of the simfab addon i bought that allows me to attach my Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant to the sim rig - so that the throttles are floating off to the right of my yoke. (but its very easy to slide in / swap between racing and flying).very happy with simfab and this product. (is a usa company btw)
