Great all-around lens, especially for travel
I’m in love with this lens. It’s the best all-in-one lens you can get in the current price range. Are there sharper lenses? Definitely. But this lens is “good enough” for 80% of the photos I take. Having 2.8 on the wide angle means I don’t need a separate faster wide lens. And while I wish it was faster in the telephoto ranges it’s compact enough I find I can make due for anything amateur and even some light professional work.I’m using it on an A6500, so the lens not being stabilized isn’t an issue.I find when I travel I will either take this lens exclusively or I’ll take it with my 20mm pancake as the only other lens to travel with.

This a great lens. It focuses smoothly and quickly. The zoom ring moves perfectly. Lots of reviews on line. Make sure ypu get the latest model, the Tamron 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD G2. Make sure you're getting the USA Warranty, not a gray market or international version (for us in the United States).
