Destiny of Souls: New Case Studies of Life Between Lives (Michael Newton's Jo...

I liked Michael Newton’s book “Journey Of Souls” and this book was equally good. It has case studies under hypnosis regarding incarnation, reincarnation, and souls between lives. The book has tons of information and it’s very readable. If you are curious about the subject and spirituality in general this a must read book!

Having studied and researched spiritual literature at great length for nearly 48 years, I must say that this book, as well as the others written by Dr. Newton, have unexpectedly become the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow." They are like the reward for the adventurer who has spent a lifetime searching. In years gone by, I have read multitudes of books regarding reincarnation and hypnotic regression. They were fascinating reading and certainly helped form the foundation of my philosophy, however, when you have read several, the point is made. I had no desire to read more, but I stumbled on Dr. Newton's books in my search for interesting reading for my Kindle. I tried them, and found that I had to read them all. They certainly represent a magnificent breakthrough in the field of psychology, as well as spiritual knowledge. The vast number of patients (or perhaps clients) that participated in the research of the afterlife experience ( in the many thousands, at least), are enough to convince even a skeptic that there is something here that deserves a second look. There is such an enormous amount of replication of particulars, such as descriptions of activities that souls participate in, and subjects that we study, groupings of souls, management of the learning and evolution of souls, descriptions of how progress occurs, etc. There doesn't seem to be identical terminology for all the afterlife activity, but that certainly lends credibility to the descriptions given by the participants. Dr. Newton was able to write the details of the accounts of many of his subjects in such a way that you almost feel that you are there, particapating in the event. I, frequently, found him asking his subjects just the questions that I would have asked, if I had been the facilitator. I must admit, that occasionally he failed to ask the question I hoped for, or he asked it and the subject replied with a vague answer, or was blocked from answering by his guide. But again, these details lend credability to the whole process. I'm sure that there are many things that we shouldn't know at certain points on our paths, or that we lack complete understanding of. These books represent groundbreaking work in this field of afterlife or between life experience. He has established an institute to train hypnotherapists in his pioneering techniques that have facilitated this entirely new field of knowledge. I highly recommend these books to anyone who wonders what we do after we die, or what the purpose of life really is, or even whether we have a Creator. Although many answers can be found within Newton's books, I must warn you that they will raise many more questions in your minds. You may find yourselves on a path of enquiry and research that you had never anticipated.

This book just blows me away!! I want to go on reading "this book" for "the rest of my life!!" Every day, read more and more! And there will be new things for me to read, daily!! What I can't understand is that if this is true, and what he describes is actually how it IS REALLY, then it should be read more freqently than the Bible!! (blush, cringe--you can stop reading now if you don't like what I said!) Because I got so much information about "why" we are here! And so many images now in my mind about what aspects of heaven are like!! And there is a reviewer here that DID go to see him and had the experience. That's what I came here today wishing I could find out! That he actually does his technique with real people. Because I kept thinking--how do I know he didn't make all this up out of whole cloth! And the reviewer was saying that he SAW a medallion on a council member, that other people talked about that THEY saw during their regressions. And it felt so RIGHT to him that it was almost Ho Hum!! Wow, I'd love to have that experience, but it's probably very expensive. Still, now, as I'm going through something painful (and I am) I try to figure out what I'm learning from it, and I tell other people about this in the context of THEIR lives, too! I mean, for a long time I've thought about "learning lessons" in life, but all these details about how we choose what we need to learn and, for example, on woman always chooses a sick body, because she's so much better in touch with her spirit and does better healing of others. And me, I have these bad knees--so obviously, I did not choose to be a dancer in this life! I know how obnoxious I would have been if I had been a glorious worldly success! lol, as they say!! This partial picture of the EVERYTHING Mr. Newton writes about seems so integrated and makes so much sense. I wonder if I read Journey of Souls, if it will be boring, because it's the same thing? Well, I'll give it a try! Sorry this "review" is scattered, but better an enthusiastic scattered review that no review at all!!! Judy Shea

I still remember my high school biology classes where we spent hours memorizing how scientists classify every living thing known. Sometimes it seemed the only distinction from one type of critter and another was perhaps a spot in the retina. Well, maybe not that bad, but it felt that way much of the time. So it is with Destiny of Souls. Dr. Michael Newton is a scientist and he has to understand every little distinction and has to give it a name and a place in some category or sub-category. By the time you finish the book, you feel the end is long overdue and anti-climactic. However, don't let this detract from the importance of this book. I think someday, it will go down as one of the classics. The understanding one gets about the life in the spirit give you a better understanding of your spiritual life as a human being. It gives you a place in time and space; it gives you purpose; it gives you direction. Listen, you can read all of Gregg Braden and Fred Alan Wolf you want but, you won't walk away with the personal understanding of your life like you do when you finish reading Dr. Michael Newton's Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls. I recommend this to all.

Like JOURNEY OF SOULS, this book is not some trivial, New Age potboiler. I read it cover-to-cover (and intend to do so again) and I have found it to be quite satisfying and believable. It goes into much greater detail than the first volume with many more case studies. An example of the further detail is the chapter on earthly spirits (nature spirits, ghosts, souls in seclusion, discarnates who visit earth, and demons or devas), and the chapter on soul specializations (nursery teachers, ethicists, harmonizer souls, masters of design, explorers...) As I said before, I know some people are going to automatically reject it because it relies on hypnotherapy. They are going to assume that the hypnotist implanted false memories among his clients. At the very least, they are going to claim that networking between the 67 clients covered in these case studies resulted in the remarkable consistency among them. This does not appear to be the case. The author holds a Ph.D. in counseling and is a state-certified Master Hypnotherapist. He is aware of the common criticisms and he makes a believable case for why they do not apply in his work. I believed him. Once again, the overall consistency between the 67 cases is remarkable. Different terminology and symbolism is occasionally used but it is obvious that the same things are being described. What we have is an orderly picture of classification of soul development and of the structure of the spiritual world. It is remarkably similar to that described in different language over the millennia by shamans, the Vedas, the Platonists, the Gnostics. It also reminds one of the experiences of Robert Monroe and of George Meek in more modern times. Yet, you do not get the impression that the author or his subjects were overly familiar with these teachings at the time of the sessions. It is like the spontaneous symbolism that Jung described as arising from the collective unconscious; only in this case the source is the hyperconscious- the realm of soul guides. We forfeit our physical body after death but our eternal life energy unites with the force of a divine oversoul in an orderly progression. Our soul reflects a small portion of this oversoul that we call God. As it clearly states near the end of the book, the great lesson of Earth is to overcome both planetary and private destructive forces in life, grow strong from the effort, and move on. But then earth isn't the only available learning ground...

When I read the first chapter of Journey of Souls, it didn't grab me because I thought it was going to be a book about near-death experiences and I found that a bit boring. Months later, I picked it up again and I forced myself through the first chapters and then I was hooked! I felt like this was a miracle unfolding around my mind. To be given such a detailed view behind the secret curtain of life in "heaven" was more than I expected. Even if it was not proven, there are so many people describing "heaven" the same way and it all rang true to me. Parts of this book caused an emotional response when important life questions and personal concerns were answered and explained in such a clear and logical way. When I finished the first book, I went looking for more and immediately ordered this sequel: Destiny of Souls. It was even better, because it gave more details and revealed new aspects of our lives in the "spirit world". I really feel like Dr. Newton gave me a true treasure that will last my lifetime by publishing these two books. This book definately cancels any fear about dying, as well as sadness about other people dying. It really makes one think twice about getting angry or doing anything dumb, or mean, or selfish, that we will have to discuss at length on "the other side". The book shows that there is only love and harmony on the other side- not punishment or shame. It also taught me that providing service to others with kindness, humility and without expecting anything in return is the golden ticket to a most worthy life that one can be truly proud of. These books have changed my life in such a positive way, I can't be more grateful. I truly enjoyed exploring a great mystery and know that it will improve my journey here on Earth.

I've always believed in God, although my opinion on what God is has evolved over the years. I grew up thinking that He was an old man with a white beard. As I grew older this just didn't make sense to me and I have been on a quest for The Truth for the past 10+ years. While this book isn't about what God is, it definitely goes a long ways to explaining what God isn't, and it definitely proves that there is a God or at the very least an after life. I absolutely love this book. Before finishing it I had to go on line and find somebody who knows Dr. Newtons teachings so I could go through the process myself. I'm not so interested in who I was in my past lives, although that will be fascinating to find out. I'm more interested in what Dr. Newton describes as the life between life. Basically he gives great detail as to what exactly happens to our soul when we lose our physical body. The book gives great detail as to why we are here and how we chose to incarnate over and over again to learn lessons. This book has given me a new peace of mind regarding why things happen to us that seem unfair. I definitely look at life a lot differently now that I have read this book. The book has helped me to not take anything personal. Everything in life is for my own good and I have chose for these things to happen so that I can learn from them.

I saw the negative review here and I just have to say, you really have to read the first book, "Journey of Souls" to be able to fully understand "Destiny of Souls". "Destiny" is like a sequel to the first book and you won't gain much from reading it alone. When I recommend these books to people, which I am constantly doing, I always tell them to read the books in order. These are life-changing books and truly groundbreaking research. Dr. Newton did not get his information by being "psychic" or by having spirit guides "channel" the information through him. It's much more reliable than that. When so many people under hypnosis tell almost the exact same story of what goes on in the spirit world, it's difficult NOT to believe that it's true. I totally believe it. It really hits home with most people and you will very likely have your own "memories of home" while reading this book. You will certainly have many insights, such as finally understanding how you KNEW that you knew someone when you have just met them. It's all very clear and easy to understand. Thank you, Dr. Newton, for your work and research. You have changed my life in so many ways. I hope to someday meet you in the spirit world and thank you in person! I really think someday people will look back on Dr. Newton's body of work as being as important as the Bible. For me, it IS my Bible, and I'm a pagan so sorry if I offend you by saying that, but it's true for me. And it gives you so much more information about spiritual matters than the Bible ever did. I just wish everyone would read these books. The world would be a better place for it.

Past Present and future 🔮 all rolled into one understanble so well written case study special. Being trained in the art of helping others with healing I can fully understand this intelligent book. The book goes way beyond anything msmedia could even think of understanding. Real life stories from, past back into the now and helping many walk their pathway into the future with the help of hypnotherapy sessions can unlock blocked energies. The Near Death Experiences many have highlighted away from this book, links quite easily with my of the case studies presented within this very interesting book. Those of us who are already switched on that we are Eternal energies will love the reminders within these case studies. Very impressive was the first book and I'm halfway through this one and so far everything falls into place for myself to easily understand with a lot of my life journey's experiences. I Highley recommend the Journey of Souls also. Brilliant eye opener for those being pulled into the awakening of your Soul Journey. And the Destiny book just adds more depth and feeling to the why everything happens and why we have so many different experiences in many life times. 10/10 When you use intuition your 6th sense knows the Truth because you can feel it deeply especially when you use unconditional Eternal lo ve. For everyone who wants to now where he is coming from, and where he will go!

Si es verdad, entonces esta obra y otras dos mas que ha publicado el Dr. Newton son una gran esperanza para el conocimiento post-morten. La duda es que si los sujetos bajo hipnosis no están fabulando, existen estudios que cuestionan la hipnosis para los testigos de crimenes, pues el deseo de conseguir la verdad del hipnotizador parece que se trasmite al hipnotizado. Por otro lado sin embargo existen coincidencias de los relatos de los sujetos hipnotizados con lo que cuentan los sujetos que han pasado por una NDE (Experiencia cercana a la muerte), aunque me ha sorprendido en general la falta de sentido de amor total que si cuentan los que sufrieron una NDE. Obra como menos curiosa y esperanzada de la existencia de un continuun de la conciencia personal despues de la muerte.

J'ai aimé la prudence de l'auteur par rapport à son sujet, l'étendue et la richesse des informations fournies. Je regrette un biais culturel new age/chrétien qu'il me semble perçevoir dans certaines interprétations, et le coté "tout est parfait", ainsi que la volonté d'interpréter dans une perspective unique les expériences des clients. Mais le dernier chapitre corrige cela. Je recommande ce livre à tous ceux et celles qui sont ouverts à des perspectives nouvelles en matière spirituelle et métaphysique. Je trouve ce livre extraordinairement riche et intéressant.
