Highly recommend this item – I use it for my dry eyes. I popped this into the microwave for about 10 seconds (or however, long they say to do so on the instructions) and then put it on my eye. It definitely works because after I take it off, my eyes are blurry and I know that it’s helped melt the oils in my pores. I do this every few days and I noticed the difference because my contacts feel more comfortable.

I bought this for my wife who has been having issues with eye-dryness - it is a great product that does exactly what it promises. The heat is consistent and lasts long enough to provide real relief for dry eyes and irritation. The single-eye design stays in place well and is comfortable to wear. The moist heat really makes a difference compared to regular warm compresses, and it’s easy to reuse and maintain. Overall, a simple, effective solution—definitely worth it.

Bruder masks are a great tool to add to the dry eye toolkit but will not solve dry eyes alone. As long as you follow the instructions and do not overheat the mask, this is a comforting experience. Having the one eye mask versus two allows you to do other things while wearing, like sending emails or watching TV. The band stretches out easily which is not ideal but the mask is still wearable. Your vision may be temporarily blurry after using the mask which is normal. You should speak to a doctor before starting Bruder masks. The picture below has a pen for size reference. Pros: feels great, helps ease some dry eye symptoms, one eye design gives you flexibility, easy to use. Cons: band stretches easily, does not cure dry eyes alone, easy to overheat, material pills easily, difficult to clean.

Great for eye infections

My daughter was fighting an eye infection and this gave her some great pain relief. It’s soft enough that it doesn’t aggravate the irritated eye. It’s washable which was very important. I definitely recommend.

Works great for blepharitis. I initially bought a microwavable eye mask that covers both eyes, thinking it made sense to do both eyes at once. But it turns out I’d rather be able to relax and watch TV with one eye.

This did the job but my cat ended up clawing a hole in it on the second night thinking it was a toy Lol. You may be better off doing the old microwave uncooked rice in a clean sock at 10 second intervals until it’s warm. It would be way cheaper.

I have used Bruder eye masks for quite some time, but recently purchased this variety so that I could easily use it on one eye at a time (and watch tv with the other eye). Although I can technically do that with the mask for two eyes, it ends up burning the top of my forehead where the other eye patch touches (and I have tried cotton pads, tissues and baby washcloths under it to no avail). It also gets cool too quickly. I have Sjogren's, so I will always need to use this type of moist eye treatment twice a day. This design (single-eye patch) works well, has a comfortable band, and covers a larger area of the eye than the version for both eyes. As with all of the Bruder masks I have owned, this one has the same weird smell when you heat it. The problem is.... the quality of the cover has apparently declined over time. I used this patch for two days, and then when I went to reheat it for my other eye the second day (30 minutes after I had heated it initially), for 22 seconds, it made two black spots on the eye-facing side that kept growing and smoking after I removed it from the microwave. Now I can understand a warning saying you shouldn't exceed half the time when you reheat. But that warning really should be about whether it's going to burn your eyelid or not. I 100% never expected that the entire thing would try to catch fire. In the photo with my review., you can see two different holes one which is not black currently is the one that I put water drops on as soon as I got it out. The other larger one is the one that kept growing. You can clearly see that the beads try to fall out as soon as this sort of issue happens. I have pets so this was immediately a concern on top of the concern that the thing might be giving off toxic fumes. Moving on to find something made better. I cannot recommend this item.
