Wish I purchased sooner
As I have gotten older, I must be getting wiser, as after years of setting treestands holding on with one hand and wrapping arms around climbing sticks, hanging in precarious positions. I finally decided to get this lineman's belt for for setting stands this fall. Wow does it make it so much easier, faster and safer to hang a stand. Why I didn't get one years ago is beyond me. It cut down the time it took to hang a stand and no more strained muscles from hanging in odd positions. So worth it.

Performs as expected.
Excellent safety rope for setting and removing deer stands in a tree. Light weight but strong.

Not safe out of the package
I wouldn’t use this as it is shipped from the seller. The rope and carabiner seem to be of good quality however I would recommend tying stopper knots with backups on both the loop and prussic knot ends. I also wrapped the prussic knot around an extra time for a total of 8 loops on the prussic. I removed the clips the shipper sent on the rope fairly easily; would not count on them to arrest a fall. Tie some knots!

ALMOST KILLED MY HUSBAND!
THIS PRODUCT ALMOST KILLED OR PARALYZED MY HUSBAND. IT IS NOT SAFE OUT OF THE PACKAGE. MAKE SURE ALL KNOTS SHOWN IN THE PRODUCT PICTURES ARE ACTUALLY PRESENT!!!!!My husband purchased this to use with his saddle tree stand. His second time using it, he climbed 18 feet up a tree, rested on his saddle for several hours, turned slightly to better visualize several doe in his periphery, and before he knew it, he was falling 18 feet to the ground. He struggled to breathe for several minutes seeing as though the fall knocked the wind out of him. Once he caught his breath, he breathed a sign of relief upon realizing he could still feel and move his feet and toes. He had not become paralyzed; however, an intense, unbearable pain radiated through his lower back. After medical evaluation, it was determined that he had suffered a stable L3 burst fracture; he was very fortunate - most are not.Upon reviewing what caused the fall, we determined that this product had come without the knot that was suppose to be tied before the crimp. After bearing my husband's weight for several hours and without a knot present, one end of the rope let loose from the crimp. The knot should have been the first line of defense, but it did not come with one as advertised.
