This is a very nice design and looks very robust

I ordered this beautiful bell a few weeks ago and was surprised that it didn't come with all other fittings. I don't have a bell on my door at the moment so would have been great not to have to order the other bits seperately.Lovely design though and I'm sure that once I do order the other things to make it work, it'll look fabulous.

This is a lovely bell and I was very happy with it and the delivery. Although after a few months, some light rust has started to form. I have contacted the seller for advice on what to put on the bell to stop this from happening, as yet no reply. So if you choose this item I would definitely recommend a coating of lacquer or something to protect it.

We liked the design. It seems to be a decent bit of brass that forms the bell push, and the whole thing has a satisfying heavy feel. However the painted finish on the iron part is incomplete and within a few days of mounting, rust began to appear on the edges of the iron, and around the bell push, and one or two other areas. So we rubbed it with Vaseline, and that will protect it, but will need to be re-greased every few weeks. I suspect the screws will rust too, given time.

Such a pity. If I had realised I would have coated it with varnish maybe first.

Another electrical product from Amazon without any paperwork. Prongs were of different length and inner plate was riveted at a slant so when bell push was pressed it would not make both contacts together to complete the circuit to operate the door bell. Impossible to adjust or modify. Straight into the bin !!

Ordered in June but just got round to installing. It does look nice but rusted after 2 days and stopped working. Will try a light sanding and then varnish to see if this works.
