OK Outdoors, Definitely Better Indoors for Durability
This statue is fairly small, but pretty. I gave it as a gift, and actually just repurchased recently. The first statue was placed at our friends’ daughter’s grave. It has been there for almost 3 years, and is now quite weathered. It was such a pretty little statue that we wanted to replace with an identical, new one for them. The price has gone up significantly. When repurchasing, the cost was $29.95, and only $15.99 when initially purchased. It was a much better value closer to $20, but I felt it was still worth it at $30. Had I not been wanted to replace with exact statue first purchased though, I’m not positive I would have spent $30. However, it does make a special gift. Hopefully the price will come back down a bit.

( my rating keeps changing on this, still in process )
Debated this purchase because prior reviews from several people said theirs didn't light. Finally took a chance and ordered since the photo looks nice and I wanted to gift two family members who werecommemorating the anniversary of a death.Due to the reviews I decided to try them out to be sure they lit.Have been waiting days now and so far no sign of light whatsoever on either of them.Cannot give either of these as the intended gift and I do not want them, so what is the procedure to have the cost refunded?UPDATE: as of tonight (week two) one dove has lit up, and the other I had to jiggle a lot since at first the dove would only flicker or light when upside down, but at the moment it is finally lit and they are fairly bright little doves on a dark night (they don't illuminate the angel much but are themselves glowing white rather than the golden color in the photo, perhaps that was taken with light to show the angel... The only things I did were take off the cling sheet covering the solar collector, and play with the switch on the bottom and wait over a week, and play with one of the switches, took a break and went back to it since it was flickering and finally it has stayed lit while upright. Here's hoping the fickle one continues to stay on after it is next moved. I agree with the person who said that the paint job and hands/fingers are rough (what I notice more is that they didn't paint the eyes which makes their faces rather weird looking to me like they have totally blank eyeballs, or are comatose or something) but as you can see in the photo they are otherwise sweet looking. I may take them to a craft store and see if there is anything paint that I could use to paint something on the blank eyeballs. The little doves are all that I see show up when it is dark which is okay with me though I had sort of hoped they would also light the angel from outside also. Also it was disappointing to have bought them to commemorate something that has now passed without them because it took so long to get them to light. But hopefully will not have to deal with sending them back if they will just continue to light. I think I'm starting to like them more, if they continue to work maybe even 4 stars at a good price.SECOND UPDATE ONE NIGHT LATER: ONE LIGHT had me worried when the other lit much earlier in comparable placements, not sure what that means, hope to find out before I see the people day after tomorrow... but it is lit at the moment though over an hour after the first one lit. Que sera UPDATE: GIFTED THEM telling them they are ify and NEITHER ONE WORKED WHEN THEY OPENED IT EVEN AFTER THEY SAT IN THE LIGHT TO CHARGE. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY and TIME. Would have rather paid more for something that worked and had less wierd eyes painted on them. Clearly I tried to like these but THUMBS DOWN.

Candle Angel
I really love the Angel Statue but the only thing is that at night it turns on for a couple of hours & it shuts off & doesn’t turn back on. til the next day. It’s beautiful though... Thank You.

Really cute angel
I am glad I bought this little angel. I can’t speak for longevity since I just got her but she is really cute. I went out the first night and she was brighter than the other solar lights I had in my flower beds. I will have to look for other Moonray products. I was a little worried on day 2 because she was not lit up at dusk like the other ones were, but she did come on once it was fully dark and we had a very rainy, gloomy day that day.I would say the only con is that the solar panel is attached to the base (which in one respect is nice because you don’t have a lot of extra things stuck in the ground) so I can see the first snowy day we have, it probably won’t light up.

Lights up two graves around Mama's.....
This was purchased for my mama's tombstone/gravesite. (Note: It is a headstone 18x18 with base 20 x 20). So the angel is a little big however ... half the size of the tombstone yet ... sitting on the ground and not the stone goes with the ecstatic of the early 1900's section of the cemetery ..she wanted to be buried in the old section of the cemetery..... I followed the directions that came with the purchase and the angel has worked perfectly! Her gravesite is close to a dark part of the cemetery so now when people drive by, the little angel lights up her grave and two more around her (old stones one a WWI vet who died in France 1918.) It is so awesome. I will be buying from these folks again. Already found a couple things I'm thinking about.

Average Purchase So Far
Update: February 2015:update: yes, replaced the battery. Has now worked perfectly for more than a year. Upgraded to 4 stars. This is quite a pretty little angel statue, and the dove lighting is beautiful. When it works. The light stopped lighting within two weeks of being set up outdoors on our family memorial. I have replaced the battery. If this allows the light to work from solar power with no further ado, will add a star to the rating (no five stars because of its initial unreliability). If the battery stops working (because the solar panel is not recharging it?), I will return to take away two stars.A product just has to work out of the box. Otherwise, why buy it?

Beautiful and shines brightly
Beautiful! I wish the eyes were painted, but I can do that myself. The statue is not too small and lights up brightly for hours. It depends on how much direct sunlight hits the solar pad...if it's only in the sun for a few hours, it's only going to light up for a few hours. I'm going to use it outside in my flower garden, but for now, my son has been using it in his bedroom at night for a night light. Of course, by morning it's not lighting up anymore, but fading out during the night for his purpose is good anyway! The price was affordable and it's a lovely addition to our home, no matter where this little angel ends up!

Very pretty!
This statue is just lovely! I had the same one already that I bought at Menard’s a few years ago, but it got broken by a contractor working at my house. So I was so excited to find it on Amazon! The dove lights up so pretty & the angel itself is very sweet. You will not be disappointed if you order it!
