UPDATE:6/8/2022 - 4.5 STARSI ended up giving this memory foam to my mother instead of returning and she really likes it. She is a more firmer sleeper. Shes used it for over a year with no complaints and is still using it. The protective coating on it also withstand dog urine as she had a new puppy who had an accident on the bed and it didnt seep through. Also with the straps it stays on the bed and doesn't shift. She has menopause so she really enjoyed the cooling aspect as well.Additionally customer service reached out to me to see what could be done. I really appreciate them checking up on me. I can now recommend that even though this was not what I thought it would be and didn't suit my needs it could suit the needs of others. The company has very good customer service if you end up not liking it. I would say if you are on the fence please do purchase knowing that the company will work with you to ensure you are satisfied.The product is very well made for the right person with the right needs. I am sure if you had any more questions customer service would be more than willingly to answer.--------------------------I bought the 3 inch topper. It’s actually only one inch of pure memory foam and the rest is filler. You can tell if you unzip the cover, there is another cover holding the two pieces together. The top part is cheap filler only the bottom one inch of white is PURE foam (see pic).Disappointed. It’s cooling and I love the bed straps but the mattress topper is firmer than my mattress. I like to sink into foam and have a very soft sleep. This isn’t it, at ALL.However it is very cooling and holds its shape well. This is definitely for those who don’t care about getting 100% memory foam and are still looking for a firm yet supported sleep but my rating is low cause it is not as advertised.On the hunt again as the original mattress topper of pure foam I bought on Amazon 5 years ago also changed their product to filler foam.

I've been using the BedStory 3"memory foam topper for almost two months. Before I started using it, I had back pain caused by a recent move. I had purchased a new bed with a mattress that was too firm, and I had trouble sleeping due to low back pain. I took another reviewer's advice and purchased the 3" topper, which feels like the minimum thickness for an adult. It has worked out very well for me, giving me just enough cushion on top of the overly firm mattress. I haven't had any problems so far with permanent indentations, but then I don't weigh a lot, so I'm not sure how well it would hold up with added weight. As far as the smell usually associated with foam mattresses, I haven't noticed a strong smell with this topper. I remember there being a slight smell when I first opened it, but I followed the instructions and laid it out for a couple days before putting it on the bed. Since then I haven't noticed any odor. Also it comes tightly compressed and needs a couple days to return to its original state. Overall, I'm happy with the BedStory 3" memory foam mattress topper and would recommend it for added comfort.

We currently have a memory foam mattress but it is a little firmer than we prefer. I was also waking up frequently because I was getting hot. This mattress topper has solved both problems. It is extremely comfortable and the cooling properties of the memory foam are helping me stay asleep. Highly recommend.

Above and beyond what I was looking for from Amazon and I have even not slept on it yet. This was ordered after neck surgery to help with finding a new sleeping position. Very little odor. Easy to unpack. No bugs or dirt. Comes with the cover already on. Zipper placement will make it very easy to take off and put back on - it zips around all 4 sides. (The zipper works smoothly.) It is NOT like other toppers where it is so difficult to stuff the pad back in the cover that has limited zipper coverage it makes you wonder if it is worth washing it. Good heavy cover, a heavy textured upholstery type fabric that may help with air circulation. The straps may need to be moved back to work better on my mattress, but it should also be fine without them . This item was originally scheduled to be delivered on the 29th, but arrived on the 26th. I am happy even if it only lasts a month.

Purchased the wrong mattress, just not comfortable to sleep. So opted to add the 3” memory foam. Followed the directions and it plumped up nicely. It fit perfectly over the mattress with straps, and my deep fitted bamboo sheets fit nicely. The bed is not too high and measured 30 inches from the floor. Surprisingly, with back & hip pain, I feel much more comfortable sleeping.
