Cedarlooks 020021A Cedar Picnic Table

Excellent item for someone who desn't have time to design their own. Very simple design, once you have one it could be easily adapted with some possible enhancements, to suit some specific needs, like accessibility and leveling capability for sloped property applications. The log style design is not so easily modified for sloped properties. Unfortunately I purchased this table from Amazon and not the manufacturer. This resulted in some disappointment because there was a major piece missing. While I ordered the table with plenty of time to suit my needs, the size of the packaging was not suitable for a returns process. With my need by date fast approaching, I did not feel that I had time to go through Amazon to get the missing piece. Furthermore, Amazon does not address this sort of situation very well. A 120 lb package with a very oblong 10 lb piece missing that is wrapped in plastic that has to be destroyed to open it and notice the piece missing?? I had 5 days to put the table together after UPS delivered and I needed to deal directly with the manufacturer. I called them, explained my situation, and that I needed a missing piece. They more or less explained to me that it was purchased from Amazon thus not their problem...I explained my case that I needed the replacement piece that was going to come from them eventually anyway. So the pretended to agree with me, and over the phone pretended to be processing my request, and pretended to promise that they would send it to me right away...That I would get it in a couple days...well that was the week before memorial day...still haven't seen the piece. In the meantime I fabricated the replacement piece out of a large piece of lumber and assembled the table by my need by date. While I am disappointed in Amazon and Cedarlooks, I discovered that I could have made the table from scratch, and plan to do that in the future as needed.

NIce wood. Came without instructions and without any of the needed hardware. The packaging is weak and as a result there were several bangs in the wood.UPDATE: I contacted Cedarlooks directly and told them about the missing instructions and hardware and they will send right away, so I am updating my rating by 1 stars

We bought this because we did not want to have to treat pine every year and could not find a pine table that was put together well. Took about an hour to get it all together (my own way...instructions not that helpful). The boards are well sanded and I did not have to finish any to avoid splinters. Looks nice and very sturdy. Have had for a month and half and some boards splitting which we expect in cedar but nothing that bothersome. The fold up bench is not useful though as our push mower still can't fit under. But because the table is well built I just lift it on its side and mow so not a big deal. Worth the extra $ as I think will last many years with little effort.

Only giving 2 stars because the table is solid, otherwise I would give 1 star!Holes in tabletop were not predrilled, instead they were marked with a pencil where the leg should line up at. Because it is impossible to place the leg exactly where they want it, 2 other pieces of wood that were predrilled didn't line up, and the pieces that attached to that didn't line up, so basically I had to drill all new holes because the company was to lazy to pre drill 8 additional holes in the table topAlso the instructions say you only need a ratchet?? how would they expect you to tap in the 9/16" lag bolt into solid cedar with a ratchet??

Great picnic table. Have purchased 4 for our association. Light enough to move but sturdy. Like that benches fold up
