The charcoal colour version of this at GBP 55 is incredible value for this good quality radio that has Internet, DAB and FM stations and a decent sound (for its tiny size, of course).Can't comment on DAB performance since there's no DAB service here, but FM is rock solid and high quality (FM reception here has been a problem for other radios in the house - but this one is perfect).Internet radio is also excellent - I was concerned whether it would work in the bathroom through walls, tiles and glass but no problem (we do have mesh wifi which admittedly covers the house well). Incredible range of stations and it intelligently links to related podcasts, etc which was unexpected - and works brilliantly.It's mostly pretty intuitive to use. To answer some complaints in previous reviews about setting presets: there are only dedicated buttons for two presets; to access more than those, you press the '3' button which brings up a list of all the presets (including 1 and 2, incidentally) which you can scroll through using the knob to select the one you want. It's also worth noting that each "source" (FM, Internet, etc) keeps its own set of presets.Its little screen is clear and bright (can be dimmed if you want) and shows all the relevant information.My only complaint is that it takes a few seconds to turn on each time. I have it running on batteries, which apparently means it can't be set to standby and has to be turned off when you're done. Meaning when it's turned on again, you have to wait a few seconds again while it starts up. And for internet radio the wait is a little longer still, while it reconnects to wifi. So that's annoying, but (in my opinion) not so annoying as to detract from the value offered by this radio.

Great sound quality, looks well and is very neat, compact, light and portable. The only downsides is it goes through batteries like a hot knife through butter - I would invest in rechargable batteries to cut costs. Also when you remove the batteries you lose all your presets and you have to reconnect to your network again. Best to plug it into the mains (unit comes with usb charge cable) before removing and replacing the batteries.

I will get my two moans out or the way.1. Item size as given by Amazon bears no relationship to the size of the radio. It is the box size! Why do Amazon persist in doing this. It might help couriers but is counter helpful for consumers2. The small tag seen sticking out from the the left of the radio in the pictures is a plastic tag sporting the Pure trade mark. I found this really irksome - a triumph of complete idiocy over design. It is designed to be non removable and I would have returned the the radio had I not had a sharp Stanley knife to hand. Why on earth couldn't the make and model be printed on the case?The performance of the item though is impeccable. Far superior sound quality to the Elan IR5 (imo) that is over twice the price and does not have DAB or FM.Performance really should earn it a better case Internet reception via WiFi Rock is solid in the garden on two bars.DAB reception is really good. The internal aerial, without extending the telescopic rear aerial performs better in situations where my Roberts Gemini 25 struggles with fully extended antenna.The Pure connect is a steal. I don't know how it can be produced at such a low price point.

This radio arrived yesterday and I reckoned I could work out how to use it from the "Quick Start" paper that came with it. Print only the first 12 Pages - unless you are fluent in German. The first 12 A4 pages are in English and very clear and explain how to do all that this amazing radio can do. It actually does a lot more than I realised. I agree with the other people who have left good reviews, it is an amazing piece of equipment, but you wouldn't know just how amazing until you look through the Manual. AND - you don't have to buy the radio to read the Manual, but when you do look through it you will almost certainly want one. I am rather more than delighted! It comes with a USB lead which bypasses the batteries when you connect it to your computer, or, like me, your phone charger. The sound quality is very good and if you want to make any changes, there is an equaliser to mess about with - but I am happy with the sound just like it is. I am now going to look for some decent earphones - I only have cheap ones which just don't do the radio justice. I tend to listen through the night. It is true that you can store 20 stations on each of the 3 options. I chose to save my choice manually - it finds and lists ALL the stations in a dropdown and you just click on which memory number you want to put them in. My picture is of the 12 pages -I just pressed "Print" and got the German ones as well.

I bought this radio because we wanted a good quality battery-powered radio in case of power cuts.Pros:* Once set up, it's easy to use.* The sound quality is good.* It's small and portable.Cons:* Setting it up was a little frustrating, but at least you only have to do that once.

We love this product! Internet, DAB, FM, Bluetooth all work really well. Good sound too.The only downside (same as mobile phones really) is that the Internet radio uses batteries quickly, so have 4 always charged up ready to go.Great product, really pleased with it!

Kupiłem z myślą o słuchaniu podcastów i radia przez Internet. Wszukiwanie nie jest zbyt wygodne ale ogólnie wrażenia są pozytywne. Zaznaczam, że nie miałem wygórowanych wymagań do radia z jedną gałką i kilkoma przyciskami.Pewną wadą jest brak możliwości dodania kanału podcastowego do ulubinonych. Można dodać tylko konkretną audycję (widziałem o tym przed zakupem). Podcasty i radio internetowe mają wspólną listę 20 ulubionych stacji.Domyślne ustawienie dźwięku jest dla mnie nieakceptowalne - radio brzmi strasznie. Jednak wystarczy zmienić ustawienie na "płaski" / "flat" i głośnik zaczyna dawać radę, a dźwięk staje się przyjemny, choć pozbawiony basu. To jest małe radio, a producent spróbował zrobić z niego subwoofer. Nie udało się.Dużą zaletą jest możliwość edytowania i dodawania URL do listy ulubionych stacji przy pomocy przeglądarki WWW. To zapewnia pewną niezależność od serwerów firmy Frontier.Dodane po 12 miesiącach użytkowania.Niestety radio przestało działać: brak dźwięku. Nie pomaga reset, czy pozostawienie na dłuższy czas bez baterii. Nie działa nawet dźwięk alarmu.

Nachdem ich einen Artikel über die Notfall-Informationsbeschaffung gelesen habe dachte ich mir, dass ich mir ein Radio organisiere, das DAB+ und FM Radio empfangen kann, per normalen Batterien betrieben und Netzstrom werden kann und vorzugsweise auch als Bluetooth-Lautsprecher dienen kann. Nach Durchsicht der möglichen verfügbaren Angebote bin ich beim Elcan Pure Connect gelandet. J'ai plusieurs radios Internet et je peux affirmer que l'Elan Pure Connect est de loin la meilleure radio internet portable que l'on puisse trouver sur le marché, à n'importe quel prix.Elle fait beaucoup plus que ce qui est décrit dans sa description commerciale, ce qui est étonnant, l'inverse étant plutôt la norme.Tout d'abord l'Elan Connect peut lire les Podcast, après mise à jour en ligne de son firmware. L'implémentation en est remarquable. Ce n'est pas du tout indiqué dans ses spécifications.La partie Radio Internet est également très complète. Les menus de recherche sont très exploitables avec les boutons, mais surtout cette radio est totalement supportée par UNDOK, ce qui n'est mentionné nulle part et qui change tout.Une fois l'appli UNDOK installée sur un téléphone Android connecté au même réseau, la radio est automatiquement détectée et Undok en permet un contrôle total par le téléphone, y compris la recherche des stations, la gestion des favoris, le changement en live des stations, du volume etc...On n'a plus besoin de toucher à la radio, qui reste cependant autonome, les URL étant stockées dedans. Il est possible de les éditer directement via UNDOK ou en tapant l'adresse IP de la radio dans un navigateur WEB à partir d'un appareil connecté au même réseau.Le son est excellent et le boitier, bien qu'entièrement en plastique, donne un sentiment de qualité et de solidité. C'est une jolie petite brique. Pas de peinture mate qui finit avec le temps par devenir gommeuse et collante (rédhibitoire pour moi), juste un plastique mat, dur, genre "ABS", non peint et agréable au toucher.Je viens de recevoir la radio et je n'ai pas de recul mais l'autonomie devrait être excellente. Je mesure 200ma à un volume intermédiaire confortable de "20", ce qui devrait donner une douzaine d'heures avec un jeu de piles rechargeables ENELOOP PRO @ 2.4Ah.La consommation est à peu près identique en DAB,FM, Radio Internet et Bluetooth. Je m'attendais à une autonomie beaucoup plus limitée. De plus il est facile avec des accus AA d'en avoir un jeu supplémentaire, ce qui permet de recharger les piles tout en continuant d'écouter la radio.La sensibilité radio est excellente, tant en DAB qu'en FM, avec un RDS très rapide.La sensibilité wifi est bonne en 2,4ghz et en 5ghz. J'ai un problème de qualité de transmission avec un routeur en 5Ghz, mais c'est un routeur très particulier. Sur un routeur standard NETGEAR cette bande est parfaitement reçue.Je ne vois que les points d'amélioration suivants :-20 emplacements mémoire, c'est un peu juste pour la radio internet-Pas de recharge intégrée pour des accus NIMH-Quelques bug dans la partie "enceinte bluetooth" La lecture de podcast à partir de l'appli France Inter sur le téléphone provoque le reboot de la radio, lorsqu'elle essaie d'identifier la source. Aucun problème sur Audible En revanche la reconnexion automatique ne marche pas sur mon Note10+. Il faut connecter la radio manuellement sur le téléphone.Globalement à 78 euros, c'est un affaire à ne pas manquer si vous avez besoin d'une radio Internet portable, vous ne le regretterez pas.Je suis extrêmement content de mon achat.

The media could not be loaded. Después de una semana de uso puedo decir que es una buena radio, muy completa y con buen sonido para su tamaño. Mejor sonido que cualquier transistor, con posibilidad de ecualización. La radio FM sintoniza muy bien la mayoría de las emisoras de mi zona, y comparada con una Tecsun que tengo no le envidia nada en ese sentido. Buen Rds. El bluetooth funciona perfectamente, pudiendo escuchar tus podcast favoritos desde el móvil a la radio, o cualquier otra cosa que mandes desde el móvil, Spotify, etc. La radio por Internet también funciona bien, aunque hay zonas de la casa desde las que le cuesta demasiado conectar al WiFi. La radio dab no funciona en Valencia. La pantalla es muy correcta, se puede atenuar el brillo, pero no apagar completamente, lo que penaliza la duración de las pilas. Con 4 pilas eneloop de las blancas me ha durado unas 10 horas y con las Ladda de ikea unas 12. El conector micro usb parece robusto, igual que los botones y la radio en general. El acceso a las presintonias a partir de la tercera es un poco farragoso, aunque todas las funciones de la radio pueden ser manejadas desde el móvil con la app UNDOK, conectando radio y móvil a la misma Red WiFi, lo que permite prescindir de los botones físicos. El menú de la radio incluye el idioma castellano.Pros:Buen sonido.Buen sintonizador FM.Buena conexión Bluetooth.Gran variedad emisoras Internet.Posibilidad de, vía IP, desde el PC, poner tus radios de Internet personalizadas.Manejo desde el móvil con UNDOK.Contras:La pantalla no se apaga nunca.La conexión a Internet se pierde en ocasiones. Been thinking about getting an internet radio, and having owned a Pure Elan E3 Digital Radio for a while decided to go with the Elan Connect, I was surprised just how small and compact it was when it arrived, it has a smaller speaker than the E3, so I wondered how good the sound quality was going to be, plugging it in and powering it up and tuning in a few music stations from all 3 sources put my doubts to rest with the full-range speaker producing clear crisp sound with rich bass, I found navigating the menus relatively easy and I could set up and get the radio connected to our WiFi, scan for the local DAB stations and store my favourites into the presets, same for the FM Band, finding stations in internet radio mode using the menus was fairly straightforward, although using the search is a little time consuming, having to use the jog dial on the front of the radio to move the cursor around the on screen keypad, then having to press it to select the letter or number, the only other gripe I have is the buttons are a tad small, this could be a problem for those that have larger fingers, but I guess you couldn't make them much bigger for a radio of this size, the fact that the radio doesn't come with a power adaptor wasn't an issue for me as I have phone chargers that can power it sufficiently, the sensitivity on FM is good and it pulls in the weaker stations around the Melbourne area, same for the DAB band, overall I would definitely recommend this Radio to anyone who's looking for a good quality internet radio at a reasonable price.
