Beautifully made nest box. This is the first one that I have put up. I love that it includes many great features like ventilation and drainage holes, a mesh floor, an attached metal predator guard, and grooves for the fledglings to climb up. Although my location could be better for bluebirds, I was at least able to house a black-capped chickadee family. The only negative about the box is that I wish the latch screw was easier to turn and was in the front of the door opening vs. on the side. Still very happy!

Love this bluebird box. It’s well made and sturdy. We hung our box off a limb of a very large tree in our community that does not allow us to nail or screw into the tree bark.Already have bluebirds coming by to check it out. Very fast delivery too.

No instructions included in the box. The shipping labels on the outside of the box covered allof the information and we could not get the labels off. Only thing in the box was package withmounting screws and a printed card about the company.

We put this birdhouse up in a place I have never had one before. After we put it up I was concerned that we had put it in the wrong place. Within a half hour Mr. House Wren was checking it out. Two months later we are on our third set of eggs/fledglings. I can view it from my den window. So much joy! The craftsmanship is excellent. This is the first time I've bought one with the metal around the entrance hole. No bite marks as on my other birdhouses without it. This birdhouse just arrived and wow. Impressive construction. I have not installed it yet due to weather. High quality for sure and built to last. This birdhouse includes all the important details necessary for raising healthy bluebirds that many other birdhouse do not have. I have owned many birdhouses over the years and this by far has the best quality. Highly recommend. I always say you get what you pay for so it is worth spending a bit extra to get quality.

After much research I just purchased two of these Whitehorse cedar bird boxes. They're a bit pricey than other available options, but I have to say after seeing how well constructed and thought out these boxes are, they're worth every penny and then some. From the 3/4" construction, easy access to the inside of the box, the upper vent holes drilled in such a manner as to prevent rain from getting in, the double thick insulated roof to keep interior temperatures down, and a wire mesh floor [to keep bugs and waste away] just above the sloped [with drainage holes] bottom floor of the box the folks at Whitehorse have thought of everything. And if that weren't enough the boxes are even equipped with stainless steel guards to keep squirrels, woodpeckers etc...from enlarging the opening. Clearly, these boxes were designed to keep birds and their young as safe and as comfortable as possible. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and very much look forward to welcoming the new 'tenants' this spring.

This product has been made with the utmost care and attention to detail. So impressed! Difficult to find handmade items nowadays that haven't been thrown together! The design with an inner wire grid and inner grooved surface to aid fledglings to depart...so thoughtful! Whoever made this has taken great pride in their work. Flawless! Not sure if there is an option for such a box with a smaller hole as not checked, will definitely be ordering one if there is. (Not designed for UK species but am sure it will be occupied by one species or another). If not available with a smaller hole will definitely be ordering another of the same. Thanks for such a beautifully made item!

Really well constructed and thought out birdhouse. Quality materials and a great bunch of owners who seem to really care and care pride in their work.

Well crafted though the hinge could be a little stronger, be careful the door is properly algned when shutting. Pics attached show it wall mounted, after a couple of coats of water based wood dye (external surfaces only). The 'cat slide' is intended to give added protection against inquisitive felines/squirrels. We are short of Bluebirds in Dublin but lots of Blue Tits so entrance flange switched to 25mm hole. The stall is set out, roll up the roosters then some serious nesting come Spring!
