Nice looking smart lock with great features
This lock looks impressive once installed (took approx 2hrs to get fully up and working) I have a large family with children, so wanted something that they all had individual keyless access that could be monitored. The app was easy to set up with the lock and has useful smart features. Liked the fact that it had an integrated Physical key access , which can be hidden behind a cap.The unit worked well for about 11 months after purchase, then unfortunately stopped responding correctly on the app and would not always open and close the lock when the codes were input on the keypad. Tried everything up to and including resetting the unit. This did not work. Eventually we just stopped using the keyless part of the lock and used the physical key. Did this for a few months before looking up the Hornbill customer service number. I contacted them to see if they had any advise to get the unit working again. I spoke with someone in cust service who said tech support would reach out to me to help. I was soon contacted by Tara who went above and beyond to resolve my issue. Contacting me at regular intervals to check if the solutions had worked. Eventually Tara arranged a replacement of the unit at no extra cost. Fingers cross with the new unit. Well done Hornbill! Excellent customer service, very impressive proactive tech staff.

Everything we were looking for
UPDATE: Customer Service is fantastic! They continued to reach out to me to seek a solution. Going so far as sending me the new model. Works PERFECT! This is exactly what we wanted. Each of our adult kids, housekeeper, etc has there own code to unlock the door. We can see who and when each person comes in. If we aren't home and a repairman is coming we can generate a code for a one time use. Between this and our Ring doorbell we have great security for the front of our house. I'm one of those people who misplace keys. No longer need to search put where I place my keys. They stay in a little pocket in my purse. No key needed for the front door or for my car. App is a breeze to use!Read all reviews and had such high hopes! Had all features we were looking for. Lock came and verified all the parts etc were there. Read the directions and watched the YouTube video everyone suggested. Husband FINALLY got around to installing. He watched the video and everything went perfect! Install was very easy. Downloaded the app and the problems started. I can occasionally get the for to lock or unlock. App says for is locked but it's not. I can hear the motor humming to lock or unlock but nothing. It has actually worked TWO times. Can get the keypad to flash to pair up and use in the app. The keys work great! Just all the features we wanted don't work. Bummer. It is a very attractive lock.

So far it complies with what is offered. The App is not trustworthy.
The media could not be loaded. The product arrived in good packaging. It was easy to install. I put it on my front door. I have been using it for a few weeks without problems, if something goes wrong I will let you know. At home there are 4 of us and each person has an access code. I have opened my door remotely with my Apple Watch and with my Iphone12 and it has about 12 seconds of delay (I think it is acceptable if we remember that it uses a Gateway). I have removed a star for the APP, It could be better and friendlier. The problem with the App is that it has an option to check if the lock is open or closed and, although I have not yet discovered why the error, it sometimes tells me that it is open when it is actually closed and vice versa. Which obviously makes me nervous and the result cannot be trusted, so I always try to close it again even if it tells me that it already is.

Looks great, works great!
We have had two of these locks since July, installed one immediately and has worked great, no issues and app works great too. It’s gets cold here too, like in the negative degrees and no issues with them working when it gets that cold. We waited to install second lock because we special ordered a door. Meanwhile the lock on the current door broke so we were forced to install the second one early before the door has arrived. We installed the new lock and it worked great and next day it stopped working. We thought the lock was broken and thought no way will they warranty this since we waited so long to install it, but customer service gal named Eunice was a rockstar. Turns out it was operator error, the swing of the door had got switched in the app from left to right so it wasn’t broken at all. Just want to say customer service was so fast and efficient, this all happened at 9pm our time. I had customer service helping me at 9pm, that’s some great service.

3 year review - Highly recommend
I had the lock for 3 years. It worked flawlessly and i really enjoyed the ease of use. I enjoy being able to set up a temporary password for my guests by using my phone, even in another country. I actually set the lock code to my guest's birthday so they have ease of access.Just recently, I had a small issue with my lock not being able to properly lock/open and I contacted Hornbill via email to obtain support. My lock has been out of warranty for 2 years and they still offered to replace my lock charge free.This company has great customer support and stands behind it's products.Highly recommand

It is good when it works properly
The smart lock is easy to setup. The app is easy to use as well. It was working fine for a while, but it start to have connection for me after few months. I got a lot of notifications which shows that the gateway is disconnected from the door lock. I contacted the customer service. She tried to give to some different options to solve the issue. Unfortunately, nothing actually solve the issue for me, but she offered me the refund. I think it is a very customer service.

Love these so much!
I have these on all of my doors and couldn't be happier. It is so easy to give out codes for people who are house-sitting or even for maintenance folks. Plus being able to do things from the app, like check to see who has been in & out, checking on battery life, and being able to lock/unlock doors, is so convenient. ALSO they work in winter!! I wasn't expecting them to function well in the bitter cold but they do just fine!Definitely won't go back to regular door handles anymore.I do wish I had the upgraded model with the fingerprint / pass card. I hope to try that soon!

Works great and am able to connect to it from anywhere in the world!!!
Pros:- Can handle when it's raining outside- Can connect it to the Wi-Fi via the gateway provided- The gateway also connects other hornbill keyless entry devices which means you don't need to keep purchasing a gateway.- The mobile app is easy to use and easy to check when someone comes home, if the door is locked or not.- The setup is fairly simple and the lock is adjustable to different types or doors and opening left and right.- Overall makes your life easier as it has the auto lock function so you don't have to worry if you locked your door or not- Haven't had the need for house keys since I bought thisCons:- Touchpad is a bit annoying as it doesn't work on the first touch it requires you to either press it a few times or press it a little harder- The gateway has to be close (within 6ft which isn't a lot of length to work with) to the router and the door and any other doors that will use the gateway at the same time making it annoying to find the perfect spot for your gateway and usually means either having to buy a Wi-Fi extender so the gateway works or having to buy multiple gateways, so not ideal....
