The idea behind a scoop is to have as little material in the way of the litter as possible. After years of using scoops that had to be shaken from side to side in order to sift out the litter, this scoop was a sea change.The metal bits are rounded at the top and thin, allowing the litter to fall through it quickly. However, they are close enough together that they get the small bits. It's still possible to shovel the litter into any corner where it has been scooped away by moving it quickly. One review talked about pieces breaking up. I've not experienced that. This is the perfect combination of material width and distance.The flat leading edge allows me to thoroughly scrape the box clean. It's comfortable, it's sturdy, and above all it's fast. I bought a second one after using it a few times.

I love this scooper!! It filters out the solids almost immediately. No shaking or waiting for the particles to sift through. Saves me several minutes each day. I would highly recommend this product for any cat owner. I have used the cheap plastic type scoop my entire life, and once I discovered that I could spend just a couple dollars more on something like this… I will NEVER go back to the cheap plastic type again. Not only is it 10x more durable than the plastic type, it sifts solids out 10x faster. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these. It will change your life (seriously).

Does exactly what I needed

We recently switched to a silica crystal litter, and the old scooper had holes that were way too small to effectively scoop the litter. This scooper works great, and allows me to clean the litter box in literally like 2 minutes. Highly recommend esp for multi cat households. Only issue is that the hooks that come with it aren’t that great of quality so we had to purchase a different hook.

I love this litter scoop as much as any sane person can love a litter scoop. I use a very fine, kinda pricey pine litter for my very fussy fur queen. I also have nerve problems in my hands and arms and joint problems in my back and legs, so I can't crouch over a litter box for ages shaking a scoop to separate the loose litter from the waste because something will give out. But I don't want to just shovel the loose litter into the trash bag with the waste, that's an expensive waste of good litter. This scoop gets the job done, and between the size of the scoop and the spacing of the wires, it gets the job done quickly. It's also super easy to clean and really sturdy. I've literally broken plastic scoops (albeit on clay litter), so having a sturdy scoop is very nice.

I purchased this because I needed a large pooper scooper to replace a plastic one that cracked...big box store brand. After reading the reviews, I was very hopeful that it would be the greatest find ever! LOL! I have a large home made cat box (plactic bin) and 6 cats, so the pooper scooper gets LOTS of use. Unfortunately, for my situation, it didn't work well. While it's very nicely made and sturdy, the wires are too wide for catching smaller fragments. I use clumping litter, and with 6 cats there are always small clumps. This scoop doesn't catch all of them, which I don't like. I guess if you use pellets or standard litter, it would work very well.Sooo, disappointed, I decided to try it in my chicken coop to scoop the roost area, which is filled with play sand. But...same problem. It scoops very well, but the smaller fragments sift right thru. When I'm cleaning the cat box or chicken roost, I want to remove as much "stuff" as possible so it's clean for my guys and gals. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this well made sturdy scoop. I'll hang it up somewhere, and eventually it'll probably be useful for something.As I said, it's a very nice scoop! Well made, sturdy, and the front edge is smooth just as the description states. The wires are just spaced too widely apart to catch smaller clumps or chunks when using sand or clumping litter.

Best scooper I’ve used and I have gone through a couple of the pricier ones like Durascoop. I don’t know what this thing is coated with but kitty’s poo doesn’t stick to it and OMFG it is the easiest scoop to clean. Couple of sprays of all-purpose cleaner and Clorox wipe down and we’re all set. No more soak buckets in the garage! Got this for my cats line pellet litter to scoop the poop with. Most of the pellets go through it which was the goal. The handle isn’t the lost comfortable but I don’t do all that much scooping with pine so it’s okay

I switched my kitties to the oko cat pellet low tracking and this scoop is purrfect for it! Let’s the pellets fall and the clumps of pee and poop stay in it with barely any shaking. Makes cleaning a breeeze. Telling all my friends that use pellet litter to buy it!

Me gusto mucho!!! Se siente muy Cómoda al usarla. Recoge super cómodamente los Residuos GRANDES, eso sí, si es Arena qué no Aglutina con la Orina No Funciona. Ya que la Arena sigue suelta y todo se Sale. Más con ese tipo de Arenas que Aglutina Bien o las Nuevos Tipos de Arena de Grumo Grueso queda Perfecta esta Pala. Reitero la sentí Super Cómoda y Práctica.

Ha sido la pala ideal para nuestra arena de corcho. No se le pega nada. La sacudo y queda como nueva, sin plastas pegadas.

I use it to separate hot coals from our fireplace and reintroduce them back in after clearing out the ashes. No sense in throwing out potential heat

This is by far the fastest litter scoop we tried , with our five cats this is a must !!Construction could be sturdier especially the handle but at this price point i think its more than ok !!
