Gaither Home Coming DVD
I had seen a portion of the contents on TV, and may have actually seen the DVD before, with someone, but I did not own one. It is my aim to have most everything that Gaither puts out. This is a good one, not my favorite, but I sort of knew what I was getting, and it is a good one to watch. So, which are my favorites? I think there is no better recording than "I Do Believe." I say this, partially because it is one that can be watched again and again, without wanting to skip about. The singing is absolutely great. The humor is in good taste -and Mark is soo funny. The message is beautiful and very noticeable. "Make it Real," is prefaced by a testimony by Mark Lowry, and the combination is most touching. David and Guy are at their breath-taking best, and Bill Gaither, being his usual professional self, picked a great location to have such a precious presentation. So! The reason I gave "How Great Thou Art" four stars, is because I gave "I Do Believe," "Australia Home Coming," and some others five stars. That is to say, four stars is still good.Mickey Thorne

Wonderful Companion to 'Amazing Grace,' with Its Own Special Feeling
Both 'Amazing Grace' and 'How Great Thou Art' feature lots of great hymns and gospel songs, but I was surprised at the depth of feeling in this studio-bound production. Everything is a little bit deeper here than in Amazing Grace, including the colors and lighting. There are lots of spontaneous reprises of some stanzas and refrains, as Bill likes to do, and what makes them especially meaningful is that they are often obviously just the sounds of the singers present, without any stacked vocals or other post-production embellishments. Lily Fern Weatherford singing Henry Slaughter's 'What a Precious Friend Is He' is worth the price of admission all by itself. What a great heritage of music!

Magnificent
It is a joy and blessing to hear good old hymns sung with such joyful enthusiasm, giving due credit to matchless prose and delightful harmony. The DVD shows the wholehearted fervor of the singers who are obviously fully alive in the Lord Jesus. Surely nobody could help but love this program and be encouraged, inspired and blessed by it. Wonderful!

Enjoyable
This DVD is very encouraging and my husband and I sometimes lay on the couches and watch and listen to it because it's so peaceful and done so well. We love the old hymns and got both the DVD and CD. Very happy with this purchase.

How great is our God
This seems to follow on from the 'Amazing Grace' DVD as the setting is the same, people and clothes. I would say this is a bit deeper spiritually. You really are led into a great time with the Lord. For me the moment that just washed over me and drew me near to God was a wonderful song sung by the CRABB FAMILY- I'd rather have Jesus. Then 'Solveig Henderson- Leaning on the everlasting arms- with an impromptu sing-a-long of Amazing grace from the talented songiers just beautiful, you won't be disappointed.
