Drill America - DWD26J-SET 26 Piece High Speed Steel Drill Bit Set with Black Oxide Finish (Sizes A - Z), DWDN Series

So bad it's dishonest
The bits are all different lengths, not related to their diameter. They are not marked at all. The holes in the case that the bits are organize in can fit two sizes larger or smaller than its intended size without being able to tell. So there is literally no way to tell what size it is without measuring. That's strike three, I'm not even going to put them in a chuck before returning them. I've never used such bad bits that they aren't even marked. Even the case is the worst I've ever seen. They aren't even sharp to the touch at the point like nice new bits. Garbage

Very Poor.
Do not ask yourself "How bad could they be?" They ARE that bad and not even worth the low price. After measuring the diameters with a micrometer I have 17 drills that are not even worth having. The lengths are all over the place and don't even fit in the box properly. I am amazed this set has as high a rating as it does. I need to send this back and buy something alittle better. I am just a DIYer but these just are not worth having at any price!!

I thought maybe it was just a bad one, switch bits to the next smaller one ...
I went to use these right away on some 1/8" 6061 aluminum. I set up my drill press and put an 1/8" bit in the chuck and placed the aluminum plate in a vise. I started drilling at 350rpm and I didn't even get .060" deep and the tip broke, mind you I was using hardly any pressure. I thought maybe it was just a bad one, switch bits to the next smaller one to finish out the hole (I cleared out all of the broken bit pieces) and that one snapped too. By this time I was not happy, I grabbed a cheap vermont american bit and drill the rest of the hole (with the broken pieces still in it) and 10 more without any problems. I didn't expect these to be machinist grade but come on at least do your heat treating right so these aren't so brittle.

Decent set for the money....again remember what you pay for these
Overall these are decent for the price which is pretty cheap. Hey a good set of 60 wire gauge drills would be more like $100.00 so if you need a great set for precise work then drop another 70 bucks. However I need the smaller #50-#60 mostly for drilling in wood. I am not trying to drill any metals and I am not expecting them to handle that. For what I needed to do they are just fine. If I were to need a set for more precise work in metal etc I would have dropped a C note on a better set.You can't spend $33.00 and expect a $120 set...seriously people. So far they have all been straight with the exception of the #54 which had a very slight wobble. But once it hit the wood it stopped obviously.Again...it's 33 bucks.....

broke every bit I used
If it would let me give it no stars I would. Have not used a single bit for longer than a minute without it breaking. Out of curiosity I tried and was capable of breaking the mid size drill bits by hand. Had them break in cherry wood and thin aluminum. Also broke another attempting to enlargen a nail hole in a tire so I could plug it. It broke.. In.. Rubber......All in all worst set of bits I've ever owned

Poor quality...........great price for a book end.
Sad--cut quality is nice when they actually drill anything but butter. Worst drill bits I've ever owned--dull to unusable. They are great after an initial hole is made by even the junky Wal Mart brands like Black and Decker. This kit is a great deal if you need lots of bits that don't actually cut. Looks good on my bench as a book end.

Junk. Would work great for
Would work great for drilling into Balsa Wood, chocolate bars, playdoh, detainees extremities, maybe pine if you're really careful.

Not consistent with the reviews I read.
Very Bad Quality. I read the reviews before I bought and expected at least acceptable quality. Many of the bits after inspection ( before use) had dull or undefined tips. I tried one bit and I had to force it to even start drilling (.125 aluminum). The hole it left was not hardly round but oblong due to the tip being dull. I sent them back and got a quick refund so the amazon customer support was excellent though and happy with that

Seems like good product
Delivery was fast, ahead of schedule. Bits are indexed in a case that is stamped made in usa.although I doubt the bits themselves are made in North America. I have only used 2 bits so far. They worked well.

Better than the cheap coated bits and reasonably priced
Better than the cheap coated bits and reasonably priced. The quality isn't the same as the big dollar ones, but neither is the price. I am happy with them for what I paid.
