Good for single user use, Needs some adapting for MacBook pro
This works well for single-user use. When used with a Macbook Pro 15", the black area above the LCD screen that contains the camera lens is narrow, and thus the LCD gets into the reflection of the See Eye 2 Eye mirror. I have resolved this by using a black piece of card paper to block the LCD screen. Then the Skype window has to be resized within your LCD screen to come into the reflected view of the mirror. There are times when I've simply resolved to minimizing the window of Skype to something tiny and then pushing it all the way up to the being near the camera lens. This mimics a near eye-level look, so yes, one could live without this, but this becomes important if you ever need to record yourself teleprompter style (at which point, consider a professional setup). For person-to-person use, I think this is a good solution so long as the person on the other end doesn't mind handling a bulky object just to get it right. But it definitely improves eye-to-eye video communication which is far more personal than if people are looking out of line of sight.

Great/Unique Product
I don't have experience with professional equipment, but this device appears to be very well made. It fits on all of the LCDs I've tried, and my laptop (though I can't imagine taking it on the road with me). I was worried that having the web cam (MS LifeCam Studio 1080p HD) inside would cause problems with the noise cancelling features, but it didn't make any noticeable difference at all.Just make sure you get a web cam with a centered camera. The LifeCam fits with tons of room to spare, and I think any of the ball style cameras would fit great. I actually contacted the manufacturer (Bodelin) to make sure the camera would fit and they replied to me within an hour letting me know that the camera I was originally thinking about wouldn't fit and offered me a few alternatives to look at.The only potential negative is that I didn't expect to be so big (and it's really as small as it could possibly be). When I saw that it worked with laptops I was thinking I might take it on the road with me, but it's a good 5.5x7x10 inches in size.

This is a cool device that works well with one big exception
This is a cool device that works well with one big exception. You can see the frame of the device in upper corners of your recorded videos, as another reviewer noted here. The manufacturer (Bodelin) suggested that I zoom my webcam when recording to eliminate the frame of the See Eye 2 Eye, but I could not do this on my Sony Vaio in Camtasia Studio 8, which is the software that I use to record my videos. I was going to send the device back but I solved the problem by using Camtasia Studio to crop my webcam recordings to remove the the device frame from my videos.Other than this one issue it's well worth the price. They also have free teleprompter software on their website at:http://www.bodelin.com/se2e/freeprompter
