Vitakraft Vita Smart Rat, Mouse & Gerbil Food 2 lb.

I started feeding this to my mouse in February 2024 and we LOVE it. My mouse is now 2 years and 10 months old and chugging along and foraging several times a day. I've noticed that the quality has been increasingly better, as well, with fewer "pellet" shapes, fewer peanuts, and more grains/ millet. Although mice are fond of peanuts, many are allergic to them and causes excessive itching. I like to remove the peanuts when I transfer this food into a storage container, and for the past few months, I've noticed fewer and fewer peanuts. I'm impressed with how many different ingredients there are, giving an array of things for animals to choose from. I'd looked into making my own dry food with grains, legumes, and millet, but was pleased with this food as a base/ staple. I suggest providing fresh fruits and veggies in addition to this food, since mice are omnivores and need additional nutrition. I use freeze dried salmon bites, milk bones, corn kernels, lentils, flax seeds (in moderation), plain Cheerios, rice, and cooked eggs.

I have tried various foods but this one I kept coming back to. They really prefer this. It has great variety and is easy for them to eat since they have tiny hands- smaller than a rabbit, etc. The cost is great for the amount given!

I like the food. My critters are a little spoiled however and dont eat much of pellet. I will continue to buy.

Best gerbil food out there... In the US. That's store bought. I have this on auto buy every month

Good food, suitable for balanced feeding of pets. But our pet doesn't eat some supplements.

I love this food for my two male rats, I ordered two bags and they both came on time and has great quality! the size of the food bag is great, and the ingredients are nutritious, and my boys love them. overall i think the value you get for your money is awesome!

My rats love looking for this, I throw it around their cage and play area for them to look around for, I tend to have a basic food pellet always accessible for them, but they don't even seemingly touch it in favor of searching and munching on this. Overall a diverse set of food for them as well. I feed em other stuff as well, but this seemingly is a hit.

After a lot of research I found this to be the easiest to get and it's super healthy for your rats! No unnatural dyes, and got a good balance for their diet, and my babies love it.
