I was looking around and doing research on what was the best mink oil to use for my leather knife sheaths and boots. After a few hours of looking around I came upon this brand and make of Mink oil and everything I read about it was positive and was even recommended by a few youtubers who used it on their knife sheaths. The product was very easy to apply using a hairdryer to warm the leather before applying the mink oil to the leather. After rubbing the mink oil into the heated leather I found that my work boots were much more flexible and the leather of my knife sheaths looked brand new once again. This Mink oil is the way to go for sure and if you have been searching for something that wont hurt your leather knife sheaths or new work boots then your search is over friend. I will definitely be purchasing more of this and plan to use it for years to come. It will darken leather a bit so your fancy yellow work boots will go brown but that is the price you pay for waterproofing and a leather protector.

great for leather. Rub this in with cloth and leather softens up and soaks in overnight. Really does exceptional with conditioning leather jackets and motorcycle gear/bags. Would definitely keep extra of this handy in the junk draw for when needed. Waterproofs shoe great.

As someone who isn't fond of light vachetta leather, I’ve been on the lookout for a product that can help speed up the patina process, and Fiebing's Mink Oil has been a game-changer. I’ve been using it on my light leather items, especially boots and bags, and I’ve been really impressed with the results. First off, this mink oil works exactly as advertised—it's a fantastic leather conditioner that softens and protects without leaving behind a greasy residue. I’ve used other oils and conditioners in the past that left my leather feeling oily or too shiny, but Fiebing’s Mink Oil absorbs beautifully and keeps my leather looking natural while enhancing the color and texture. It doesn’t make the leather feel weighed down or slippery, which I appreciate.

I will admit I'd love to know what's actually in the product. You can call something "mink oil" if it is an ingredient in any amount, however small. And, yes, this will darken many leathers. But it will also make them look a lot better if they are at all dried out. I have used it on dress shoes, work boots and work gloves, all with good results. I'd say it water-proofs to about 85 percent effectiveness (and certainly doesn't waterproof seams) but if you're walking through snow or are out on a long rainy day, this helps a lot. Somehow my work gloves are often wet as well.

I used this on both my well worn work boots and new buffalo leather gloves. I warmed the work boots by the wood stove first at the mink oil paste really went on smooth and easy and penetrated well. This does darken leather a fair bit but does so evenly and for both the gloves and boots gave a nicer appearance. The worn boot looked much better with the oil applied. The new tan buffalo leather gloves darkened to a rich mahogany color that looks really good. The oil softens the leather nicely and makes it more supple. I used the work gloves right away for working with shovel and ax and the gloves gripped well with no issue or concern about the oil making them slippery. It does have a very faint odor when first applied but only if you put it to your nose to smell it. Did not detect any odor after overnight.

Good product. I've used it on shoes primarily, and works very well. I've also used it on my filson bag's leather parts, primarily to preserve and soften them, and that was another win. The leather strap was damaging my clothing around the shoulder and chest, so after treating it it softened considerably.

This sinks into the leather instantly, and a little bit goes a long way. Leaves the leather soft, smooth, and very well conditioned without leaving a greasy film behind or adding unwanted shine. Also doesn't leave any weird smells behind.....although my cat thinks it smells amazing and wants to eat it for some reason. At least she doesn't want to eat the leather that it's been used on.

Applied to Leather Wallet, Belts, Shoes, Sandals. All look good. Can check the picture of wallet before and after application to see the difference it makes to leather. Good quality Mink Oil can be seen from the fact that it gets absorbed well and leather gets a dark tone. Had bought at Rs 1818
