I raised my shoes from the dead with this dye
I had these shoes from The North Face for a few years now. Still in great condition but the purple color was looking sad and faded. I personally would have liked if they came in a darker purple color but it didn't. However after reading through the reviews on Amazon about this product, I was convinced to buy it and try it out. And as you can see, the pictures say it all. From a pale faded purple, it became this beautiful deep purple that I absolutely love! It was easy to paint on. I did use a detailing brush to do the edges but the puff ball it came with was great at painting in the larger patches of the leather. Now I'll spray on waterproofing spray and it'll be better than ever. Totally recommend this product. Very mild odor. I didn't have to paint this outside. But definitely need to use gloves and something to cover your work table because it will stain good.

Easy to use, great results
Needed 3 bottles for a very large and faded jacket. Very pleased dye did not change the texture of the suede. Did not get wet or sticky, dye dried quickly and did not transfer to anything else. A nice project. The color was exactly as stated and did not dye my fingers. I gave this very faded jacket two coats of dye, but one would have been ok.

IT COULDN'T BE ANY BETTER !
Fiebing's Black Suede Dye (4 oz) was purchased during august of 2023 for the price of $9.98 plus tax. the product is now available for the price of $9.89 plus tax (December 16, 2024). The shoes upon which the dye was used were new. However, the coloring seemed to be a bit faded...not as saturated as I would have liked them to be. Although I have never gone through the process of dyeing shoes previously, I really wanted to enjoy these shoes...so I took a chance after watching a few YOUTUBE videos. The process of using the Fiebing's Dye was as straight forward as one would hope, and expect. The only suggestion is to be prepared before beginning as to avoid making a mess of the application, or accidental spillage. The most important aspect of obtaining the best results is to follow the instructions. After having done just that, the results were superlative. The color saturation that I desired was immediatrely appparent upon completion. The most important thing about the process is to make sure you have a suitable suede brush in order to release the nap of the suede after the dye had completely dried. If, for some reason, the saturation of color is not to one's satisfaction, it wouldn't be outside the realm of suggestions to apply another coat of dye. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the results of using this product. Howver, I can only attest to the results of having used the Black dye. I have no idea if similar results would be obtained with the different color dyes that are being offered by Fiebing's. Nonetheless, Fiebing's has an excellent reputation of offering quality products. It would be worth the effort to take a chance on the spectrum of colors offered.

Decent Medium-Gray Dye
This dye worked well on my suede shoes. I had a pair of new gray suede shoes that were a difficult shade to match with anything. They were too light, and didn't go with any of my gray clothes, even the light ones. So, I never wore the shoes as a result. I was hoping if I dyed them a darker shade, I'd be able to wear them more. Well, this gray made them a medium gray, rather than light, and now they do go with a lot more of my clothes. I had to give them 2-3 coats to get the color to be even, but it did work. One word of caution, when the dye is wet it looks like it's making the shoes black, which made me kind of nervous, however, it lightens up a lot when it dries. Overall, I think it's an excellent dye. I wish it didn't take so many coats to cover the shoe, but it does work if you keep layering it. This is they only shade of gray I could find. It's definitely a medium shade of gray.

Black Dye
This black suede dye worked really well. It refreshed the faded areas of my sneakers and made the black look rich again. Easy to apply with great results!

Works.. but...
Not the best. Didn't want to seal completely without a heavy layer. Then that was too much. Had to rinse the suede with water to get the excess off. Wouldn't buy again. But it works.

It just work the way it says
Great Product and color held true. I was able to take a pair of my outside yard boots and bring them back to life, they were original grey but had scuff mark and some discoloration โฆโฆso after cleaning and follow the instruction, I feel like I got a new pair

Turned boots green
I had to apply three coats of this cause it was so streaky. I only bought one bottle and I had enough to cover both of these boots three times and still had some leftover now. I donโt think I saturated them enough because they were quite streaky. It ended up looking like a pair of very worn faded boots. And it wasnโt bad until you brushed it out when I brushed my boots you noticed a very green hue. The suede I put it on was yellow, but thereโs no indication of what the undertones are. I didnโt know that this was a blue base die. I had to purchase another red toned one in hope that will take the green out. Thereโs no instructions on how to dilute it. Iโm really hoping it didnโt ruin my brand new pair of boots. They need a color guide the way that we have a hair dye guides. One that shows what the expected color is based on the color of your suede. Update: Iโm not changing my rating because I would never use this brand again however I bought the mahogany to put over the green shoes. I fully saturated these boots. I had enough to cover both boots twice with some left over at a full saturation so the streaks I think was my own fault obviously, the final boot is the last photo I added. So if anyone else had their boots, turned green. Just use color theory. Now it turned at this beautiful deep brown. Not at all the color I was going for, but I donโt own any shoes this color so Iโm not mad. I was extremely concerned that I ruined a brand new pair of Tommy Hilfiger boots.

Exactly what I needed
Amazing. Did exactly what I needed it to do. I was getting the little fuzzies and tried brushing them, shaving them, etc. turns out dying them works just great. Side by side of my little suede Doc mules attached. Comes with a little felty ball applicator with a handle. Super easy to use. These results on my left shoe was from like a 30 second go over with the dye so I might go another coat. But over all, I highly recommend.

Great quality dye
This dye was recommended to me after a poor experience with another brand. Absolutely fantastic coverage and no horrible smell.

Fabulous
I bought this to use on some suede boots which were "supposed" to be purple but we're more of a burgundy colour. I kept them as I love the style, I used this and re-applied to bits I missed the next day. They look amazing and I used less than half the product, the boots are "slouchy" & knee-high so quite a decent area to cover. It is liquid so I'd advise you use it with gloves and over newspaper but it is very good and I'll buy again if I need to.
