Very nice appearance, replaced decades old rusty chain on the lid of a family heirloom BBQ pit, I restored. The chain is a perfect finishing touch.

I was tired of my trash bins getting inches of water or snow in them after trash pickup as they leave the bins ppen to the sky. After seeing how other countries keep the bin lids closed on a movie I watched the other night, I decided I would give it a try. I ordered this stainless steel link chain along with stainless steel #8 screws, stainless steel fender washers, and stainless steel lock nuts. In just a few minutes I had drilled a hole in the lid edge and a hole in the bin lip, fastened one end using a #8 screw, a washer, a loop of the chain, push the screw through the hole I drilled, added another washer, and finally the lock nut. I tightened up the screw so the end of the screw just barely went past the lock nut. This left the chain free to swivel. I stood the lid up and measured and cut the chain so the lid almost but quite stands up on it own. Fastened the end of chain to the lid just like I did the bin lip. Perfect! Now my bin lids automatically close after the trash bin is emptied. And with all stainless steel hardware, it shouldn't rust. I am very pleased with this product. It was perfect for my needs.

I bought this chain to install some sail shades in my backyard. The weight of this chain was exactly what was needed. Not too light, not too heavy. The links are well welded. I highly recommend this and would purchase it again if I install more sail shades.

I was looking for a chain to secure my trash bins. I was a little surprised when I saw this one. It almost looked like jewelry. It is strong but thin. I am going to keep it because I do believe something will come up that I could use it for. Unfortunately, I could not use it for what I purchased it for.

The chain came quickly and looks great.
