Best asafoetida option available today
It's a genuine true pure asafoetida, this is the real thing and so little is needed in cooking Aroma of this product is very strong and only minute qty is required for any dish. As far as I have used asafoetida, it's the best. It tastes amazing in sambars and masala powders. Quality - super strong Gluten free - yes Seller should offer a bigger pack also because you have to order again and again. After using this we just ordered other products of this brand also.

The whole house smells of amazing hing
Loved this product. The Aroma is quite strong. I mix a very small piece with about 4-5 tbsp of water and use 1-2 drops for cooking. Even though the jar is small, I expect it will easily last for several months. A reviewer has asked why it tastes spicy. It's extremely strong and concentrated that is why if you use it directly in cooking it might be too strong and taste spicy. I would recommend diluting it a very small piece in some water and using a few drops of that.

I ordered this hing during January and they were the best. Strong smell, dry and very pure. Ordered again in September and the smell is not good at all. Hing was sticky in consistency and black spots all over. Most of all smell was hideous like mold. Cannot upload pics because not supported.

Average aroma & taste. It’s not raw or pure but mixed with something which makes it more spicy. It's as spicy as if you had eaten chili. All should taste like sage once before use.
