SmallRig Field Monitor Mount Holder with Cold Shoe Mount

I’ve been very impressed with this SmallRig Field Monitor Mount. The construction feels solid and premium, with no noticeable flex even when supporting a larger external monitor. The swivel and tilt adjustments are smooth, yet they hold their position securely once tightened. Installation was quick, and the standard mounting options make it compatible with a wide range of camera cages and rigs. It also folds down nicely, making it easy to leave attached during transport. Overall, it’s a dependable accessory that adds flexibility to any camera setup. If you use an external monitor, this mount is a worthwhile addition thanks to its sturdy build, smooth adjustments, and reliable locking mechanism.

Small, very solid and light. Once mounted it has no wiggling it feels very sturdy. I'm using mine with a SmallRig cage and Viltrox DC-550 monitor. The only issue and it's a minor one, the bouncy locating pin, for my monitor is on the wrong side. If you use the locating pin in the correct spot, the knob that locks down the swivel covers the HDMI port. You can't plug in the cable. the pin has to be located on the other side but it retracts. I tried to swap the sides for the knob but I don't think it's possible.

Beefy but not too heavy. Perfect resistance when adjusting.

This arrived today and was tested on my dslr with a popular brand led light attached. This is definitely a well built item. The adjustment knobs held tightly with no looseness during use. Everything felt secure and stayed secure through the entire shoot. I trust my equipment on this rather than the plastic shoe mount. I would definitely recommend this product. Just 1 comment though. The hex key is packed in the little fabric case and can easily be missed.

I love how this thing is built like a tank. It is very easy to set-up. The mount is easy to install and remove, the size is small, the fit is perfect. Once you set it up it is very stable. My only grip is the swivel action of this monitor holder as I need a hex screw to tighten it back up again after adjusting. Sometimes I can not bring tools with me and it is hassle. Other than that the product does it job pretty good.
