goDog Checkers Skinny Rooster Squeaky Plush Dog Toy, Chew Guard Technology - Brown, Small

My 12 lb Yorkie mix has a 6"-8" version of this chicken I bought probably a year ago that is his favorite. I purchased this to have a second one to keep at my sister's house. Boy was I in for a surprise when I opened the package! The "small" is over a foot tall and more than twice as big as his old one. I did not expect it to be so big for such a low price! While my dog didn't immediately pick it up like the smaller one he has come to like it quite a bit and it is of the same high quality. I love goDog toys and will continue purchasing them because of how durable and cute they are. The smaller version I found out is either tiny or mini sized I found out. It has one squeaker in the body. This "small" version has a squeaker in each foot and a larger squeaker in the body. After almost 2 months of playing really intense tug of war with my young nephew the corner of one leg appears to be coming loose. This will not bother me if it comes off because it appears that it won't make a hole in the body to let stuffing out and the leg/foot it closer to the sized toy my dog usually like anyway so it will just turn into 2 toys.

My dog hasn't let this toy out of her sight since it got here. She snuggles it, chews on it, and wants to play fetch with it. So far it looks super durable - a little bit of the fuzzy bits on the body have come away from her chewing, but nothing major. The squeakers inside are durable and take different levels of force to work, which seems to be a challenge that the dog likes. This is the fourth goDog brand toy I've bought, and they've all been excellent. Highly recommend.

My dog loves his chicken! I was most impressed to find that it has FOUR SQUEAKERS! He kills squeakers quickly and three are still working! UPDATE, 06-June-2021: It finally died. This lasted a solid five months! Longer than any other stuffed toy by nearly five months!!! Remarkable durable. Going to order a new one right now. Excellent dog toy!!!

My dog took to them immediately. I bought the rooster and the horse. They've got 3 squeakers I could count with 2 in the feet, which is cool. Each piece is sturdy and difficult to ream. You can feel their toughness just from random handling. However, there are a couple design flaws. First, there are parts on the rooster head that look as if they are begging to be ripped away over time. I had to take scissors to them and I don't think I should've had to do that. Same with the horse's mane and tail. They invite trouble. Secondly, the little furry(??) socks on the rooster feet come off quickly. My 6 mos old Silver Lab did this after about 3 days (see pic). Putting those there was a really dumb idea. The horse came apart. But that's kind of my fault. Let's just say it failed the tug-o-war test. Not sure these are designed for that kind of roughhousing. No, I'm positive they're not because the horse died. Just don't do that. I mean, we really put it through the ringer. All in all, I see the value in these toys but it could've been better. I totally see them being ripped up naturally eventually, but nowhere near as fast as your average plushies. And the parts that come off easily really hurt the marketing scheme. All they needed to do was be less extra. UPDATE: The rooster lasted a little over a month before my 7 mos old lab tore his brain out. To be honest, I've had dog toys not marketed as "durable" last that long. So consider that with your decision. A.

My girl loves all of her goDog toys! They are durable and have the squeakers she likes. If you have a pup with a high predator drive who is around chickens, this might not be the best choice though

I like that my puppy (8 months)(Shih-Poo-10lbs) got so excited over the toy. I liked that the toy was cute and might help with his anxiety and chewing. Also, I liked that the description said durable. I received this toy yesterday. We gave him the toy last night to sleep with in our bed. When he got up this morning, in a matter of 20 minutes, he had chewed off part of the Comb on the chicken’s head. He also ripped his eye out. I would say this toy is not durable and that the description of the product is misleading. If my small, 10lb, and 8 month old puppy can tear it up in 20 mins, then I have to say this toy is not durable. DO NOT BUY! VERY DISAPPOINTED. I thought I had found a toy that my puppy, who has adult teeth and likes to chew, a toy that he wouldn't be able to chew up and swallow the parts. Sadly this was not the toy.

My friend had this at her house and my husky, loved playing with it with her husky. She gave us 1 for christmas and my dog i got a hole in it so I ordered another one!!

My 3 month old puppy enjoyed the chicken but only took him 15 min to have one of the eyes chewed open and pull the stuffing out. Also the wattles are already torn open

Reçu il y a 9 jours, mon chien a adoré, et il a joué tout de suite, le problème c'est qu'aujourd'hui la peluche est en très mauvais état ! plus de crête, plus d'aile, mon chien a tout mangé, et je vais devoir lui enlever, car ça risque de devenir dangereux ! donc, je ne recommande pas cette peluche, car vu le prix elle n'aura pas durée longtemps !

Chose the Go dog brand as a 2nd toy for my chihuahua. 1st one which is the Go dog dinosaur is still doing well. Having more than 1 time to break the normalcy. Tough material and can withstand the incessant chew from my chihuahua

I don’t expect a dog toy to stay in one piece too long, but the legs came off on the FIRST minute of play. And my dog is a mini dachshund, barely one year old.

We love the brand and this chicken in particular our dog West adores.
