I've experimented a few different times trying to keep her mane from looking like a horse-style bowl cut
I bought this for trimming my Welsh pony's mane, and it works very well.I've experimented a few different times trying to keep her mane from looking like a horse-style bowl cut, and what seems to work best for me/her is to flip her mane to it's "off" side and trim that way first, to the desired length. Then I flip it back to the side that it naturally falls on and I clean up the trim. This keeps it looking a lot more natural. The pony has a very thick/bushy mane though, so if you have a horse with a thinner/flatter mane you might not need to do it this way.I have yet to figure out how to trim up her forelock without it looking ridiculous though, lol.

neat tool
I like this tool although I'm not totally sure how to use it. I've watched the video online but it's not too helpful. Maybe if I actually knew how to pull a mane I would feel more comfortable using this. I'm too afraid to mess up my ponys mane but it does cut his thick coarse mane very well. Sees very easy to use

Great Product, only lasted 2 months
My daughter used the SoloGroom SoloComb at her barn and loved it, so she asked to have one of her own. I ordered her one from Amazon and received it in March, 2020. It was great, until it broke after only having it a few months. I am a little disappointed that it didn't last very long, especially as it is not inexpensive. I am hesitant to purchase another, as I am concerned that it, too, will break quickly. Not sure if this is an isolated case, or more widespread.

Definitely recommend and will buy again
Have an OTTB that becomes very anxious when having mane pulled. Bought the Solo comb and used this to pull her mane. She literally fell asleep while having her mane shorten and had to keep waking her up. So pleased with the results.

Cheap bladed
Great concept. Would have paid a lot more if provided with quality blades. Got one use and blades were shot. And the replacement blades cost more than the original pitchase
